This unit is in good physical condition with only minor scuffs and scratches due to normal wear. The eye pieces are clear and unscratched and focus easily. Please refer to the pictures provided below for more details on the condition of the item. We tested this unit to the best of our abilities. Everything turned without any problems. The rotary moved very smoothly and wasn't tough to turn at all. With each rotation the blade came out a little further and the amount that it came out adjusted properly with the setting. We plugged the unit into its power supply and turned it on. The unit is equipped with two lights. A lower and upper one. We were able to get the upper one to turn on. We purchased this system new and used it for one project(about 6 weeks total) and it has been stored in our lab under a cover ever since. A s seen by the pictures. The entire setup is in excellent condition, and honestly looks like it is brand new. All functions on the controller work properly during both manual and automated operation. All mechanical features of the microtome function properly and all movements of the cantilever are very smooth/fluid as intended. There are no signs of wear, rust, or damage anywhere on this piece of equipment. The stage, cantilever arm, cantilever clamp, chuck, chuck holder,and knife holder are ... moreall in excellent condition, and all adjustment screws and control knobs turn very easily, as intended. There are two complete chuck/specimen holder assemblies that are included with this unit(see pics) The Leica StereoZoom 6 binoculars/ microscope is also in excellent condition. The binocular assembly can be raised. Lowered, and pivoted left and right. The zoom range is 0.67X- 4.0X. The binoculars also have a pair of Bausch& Lomb 15X W.F. eyepieces currently installed. The binocular assembly is mounted on sliding rails to allow for easy front to back adjustments using the knob on the left. The binocular assembly also has two fluorescent lights that are mounted directly above the stage to illuminate the specimen being cut. The entire light/binocular assembly is also mounted on a pivoting/swing arm so it can be quickly moved out of the way for easier access to the chuck and stage. Up for auction today is a Leica Ultracut UCT Ultra Microtome and AG controller. This unit is for parts because it is missing the microscope head and another piece that seems to attach to the stage. The wheel on the side spins and moves the silver piece accordingly. The AG controller powers on and says error and then beeps a few times and the error sign goes away. This could be because we don't have any cables to connect it to the microtome but we cannot say for sure due to lack of expertise. Please verify the pictures for missing parts.
