And has normal cosmetic wear such as scuffs, scratches, and some residual wax etc. It comes exactly as you see in the pictures. If you are in the market for one of these. You probably know more about their operation than I do, so please examine the pics carefully. As there may be some parts missing. In particular, it appears that some of the clamping levers and/or set-screws on the specimen holder are missing. After some very cursory testing, I noted that the locking lever on the side(located under the hand crank) does not fully lock the machine. Instead, it provides some resistance, but the wheel is still able to turn. When the locking lever is in the off position, the wheel turns freely and very smoothly. The coarse feed wheel works. As does the section counter. ... moreThe clamping levers on the knife holder seem to work, though I'm not an expert on how tight they're"supposed" to be, so I can't say for sure. I made some adjustments to the section thickness knob, though with my naked eye I could not see any discernible change in the position of the sample holder. Up for sale is all you see in the pictures. It's been a while since I took apart the microtomes from which these came out of so I can't remember what brands they were.
