Thermolyne Barnstead Nuova Stirring Hot Plate Model# SP18425 Comes with attached power cord. The plate vibrates more as the STIR knob is rotated clockwise. The plate gets hot pretty fast as the HEAT knob is rotated clockwise. At a setting of"3" the plate is much too hot to keep my hand on it. This unit is in very good condition. It was stored in a non original box along with some other parts. So I believe this unit got a few chips in the paint due to rubbing up against the other parts in the box. Comparing the condition of this unit to others on Ebay. I would rate it 9 out of 10. If you buy one of the these in new condition, prepare to drop about $800. May ship via Fedex.

Thermolyne Cellgro 45700 S45725 Multi 5-point Magnetic Stirrer. The company is also known as Barnstead/Thermolyne. Good working condition. The front knobs function correctly. The digital RPM display is clear. The display(and the change in sound of the motor inside) indicates that the speed control does vary the speed. We do not have the equipment to verify the RPM but we did test this unit(and others we are selling) using the very scientific method of filling a styrofoam cup with water. Dropping a paper clip in it, and then watching the paper clip revolve at different speeds depending on what RPM was displayed in the LCD window. As noted in the"Conditions" section above. There are some of what look like"flecks" in the LCD display. They do not however affect the readability of the display. We are taking $10 off anyway on ... morethe price here, compared to the other current listing we have for one of these. Lab equipment in our experience is sometimes rusty or stained on the bottom. Showing it was not well taken care of and/or people were careless about cleaning it in the event of a spill. This is a used stir plate and hot plate combination made by Barnstead/Thermolyne. Surface is approximately 7.5 inches X 7.5 inches. I have tested the stirrer ability and the heating ability of item. Both work very well. This item is used. I have cleaned with a mild cleaner but as you can see in pictures it is still used in appearance. You will notice the outer insulation on the power cord is cracked on the back of the unit. Internal wires are still insulated and I could not find any exposed wiring anywhere.
