Vintage Antique French Industrial Manneqin Dress Form Interior Design Stand 1940
Here's a really neat dress form that I have left in"as is" condition because it has that wonderful deconstructed look and would look great in any number of interior settings as a sculpture. It has some issues regarding the paint and the fabric as you can see. The base is adjustable(currently it stands 45" and the stand is made of wood. This is a sweet vintage dress from the 1940s. Singer used to make"molded from life" dress forms where you could send in your own measurements and they would cast a form using the measurements. I have used her for years for photography. She does well in that respect. She would also make a great decorator piece or sculpture. This is a RARE 1950's-1960's vintage preowned soft foam dress form covered in muslin. There is a zipper in the back in the muslin. The muslin dress form cover tag reads"Faithfully Yours" a trademark of the Singer Company.It is on a back metal stand. Including the stand it can be adjusted from 38" to 64" tall. The measurements are 36 1/2" bust, 29 1/2" waist, 41" hip. The foam form is in excellent condition(look at the pictures) Nothing is missing such as hardware.The muslin is torn and has some light stains but grandma used this dress form many years ago. Vintage Sally Stitch Dress Form Mannequin with Stand Size A for Sewing/ Tailoring/ Tailor/ Pattern Help The form itself is covered in natural and blue elastic cotton to aid in pinning. This dress forms height is also adjustable and the bust spreads apart. Adjusts from 32 to a 39 inches at the bust and 34 to 41 inches at the hips. Stand goes from 34" to 57" tall. Form weighs over 14 lbs. Overall great condition. A little rust on the cast iron base. And the fabric is a little dirty from storage. There is one small hole(1/8" diameter) under the left breast.
