A dBm level meter, noise measurement set, or audio frequency counter. This was built to telephone company specs. It can generate tone and measure tone(or noise or level) simultaneously. When used to test phone lines, one is used to transmit tones whereas a second unit, at the other end, is used to receive them. Tektronix TM506 Complete test system with SC504 AA501 DC502 FG501A
I do not believe I need to impress you with all the Tek Specs on this test package. Basically. The SC504 is a 80MHz dual trace oscilloscope with algebraic display functions. The FG501A is a 2MHz function generator module with three available signal type outputs; Square, Trangle and Sine. The DC502 frequency/period module is rated to 550MHz. The AA501 is an autoranging distortion analyzer with level measuring capacity. This entire package is fully operational and has been in use on my repair bench for the past 5 years but needs calibration. The horizontal time base spread knob was hit be a piece of equipment. It looks bad but it is still operational.just need a new knob. All that is being offered is the Tektronix package. No test cables or manuals, no front cover or front lifting bail feet. Here's Sound ST-1700 B Distortion measuring system. This is the later production version with additional jacks on the rear to use with the Sound Technology 1200A Stereo Test Panel. This is in excellent cosmetic and operating condition. All of the functions and indicators work excellent. You can see my test sheet in the last picture. The 1700B has several useful improvement over the"A" version. There's a"signal off" switch which really speeds up s/n radio measurements and the"Analyzer select" allows a quick check of the generator output(level and distortion) with isolated grounds. It's not necessary to use the internal generator for THD measurements. I've used this to check some of my lab generators for distortion. The measurement are easily made using the notch frequency(high low) indicators. ... moreAnother really nice feature is that the generator output level control allows continuous adjustment from about 100uV to 3 volts( 80 db) w/o being"touchy" This took some pretty tricky engineering. Manual introduction: The 1700B combines an ultra-low distortion oscillator. A high resolution automatic-measuring distortion analyzer, and an accurateAC voltage power meter in one instrument. Pushbutton operation permits the operator to quickly measure voltage or power(8 ohms ext load) set level, and then measure distortion. For sale is an HP 334A Distorsion Analyzer in good working condition. With the execption of several scuffs and paint scrapes. The analyzer is in good physical condition. Electrically, all functions appear to work normally. The AC voltmeter, manual and automatic distorsion measurement functions were tested with an HP 8904A signal generator. In automatic mode, the unit measured a distorsion of-66 dB for a 1 kHz sinewave with 1 V peak amplitude. This is about 3 dB below the specified distorsion level for the HP 8904A. The measured voltage is 0.7 Vrms. The distorsion measurement of an AM RF signal was tested with a Panasonic VP-8179P AM/FM signal generator. HP 8903A in very good overall condition. Some of the tabs on the internal cards are misssing so care must be taken when removing them. I beleive this to be fully functional but please let me know if there are any specific tests that you want carried out- I have sig. gen. Frequency counter and bandpass filter available but only a PC soundcard oscilloscope. I cannot test any GPIB functionality. All keys are working on this instrument- often you will find some keys with the sprung metal that makes them bounce missing.
