For auction is a Bruel& Kjaer 4189 ½ inch free-field microphone with Type 2671 preamplifier. Valid from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It has a small wrinkle in the diaphragm but it DID pass cal which was done by a cal lab(see picture) I have many 4189 with diaphragm wrinkle failed the cal at various frequency(from 3khz to 18 khz) and this is the only 4189 that passed the cal with a small wrinkle. BRUEL KJAER Dual Channel Signal Analyzer model 2032 sold as is for repair/parts
It turns on(fan is running) and Red LED lights on front panel light and go off(boot up sequence) but screen was dark. I now use PC based gear. But can remember when this unit(weighs 80 lbs! cost far in excess of $20,000 new. It'd be a shame to trash it when the parts alone(e.g, one B&K mike mount) is going to cost you what this entire purchase will. B&K replacement parts are NOT CHEAP, and I see there are two other 2032's on auction now. I f you buying one of those units. You should also consider purchasing this as a back up in the event the working one has a failure like 20 year old machines are prone to doing. This has been in storage for many years. T his unit was given to me by a colleague who lives in Australia just prior to his leaving the States. I no longer have the space to store it.

This is a very nice used EXTECH Digital Sound Level Meter. The meter has a sound level readout in dB as well as a bargraph that shows the sound level in graphical form. You can see from the front pictures what the various buttons do. It is great to take the unit to a store or a construction site and measure the noise level. The specifications for the meter are shown below. I have used this meter to balance my home theater speakers and it works great. Sometime ago the meter lost its original battery cover and I made one from a piece of black plastic. You can see this in the backside picture. It doesn't detract from the operation or the looks of the unit. The unit comes with the sound output cord and a CDROM with the operating instructions that I downloaded from the internet.
