I don't know much about microphones but this is a nice one that seems to be in unused condition. I can't be sure of that however so I'll call it used. The 1565-B Sound Level Meter Type 2 uses 2 9-volt batteries(not included) There is corrosion around those connectors and one is detached and would have to be reconnected. I inserted 2 batteries and the white needle went up when turned on. However I don't know if this means that it is working properly.
