BRUEL KJAER Dual Channel Signal Analyzer model 2032 sold as is for repair/parts
It turns on(fan is running) and Red LED lights on front panel light and go off(boot up sequence) but screen was dark. I now use PC based gear. But can remember when this unit(weighs 80 lbs! cost far in excess of $20,000 new. It'd be a shame to trash it when the parts alone(e.g, one B&K mike mount) is going to cost you what this entire purchase will. B&K replacement parts are NOT CHEAP, and I see there are two other 2032's on auction now. I f you buying one of those units. You should also consider purchasing this as a back up in the event the working one has a failure like 20 year old machines are prone to doing. This has been in storage for many years. T his unit was given to me by a colleague who lives in Australia just prior to his leaving the States. I no longer have the space to store it.

The unit has not been fully tested however it was given a detailed inspection. The unit contains 5 tubes. All of the tubes were removed and tested. 1ea 6C4- strong. 1ea 12AX7- strong, 1ea 12AT7- strong, 1ea 12AU7- weak and 1ea 6X4- strong) The unit was plugged in and it did not blow a circuit. All of the dials and buttons moves smoothly and lines up properly with required settings. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. The original outer case has been damaged. The chasis has been placed in another outer shell. The mounting screws in the rear do not line up however the only thing need to be done is drill new holes in the outer shell. Sound Technology distortion analyzer, model 1700 B. Working!
Here is a nice older version distortion analyzer. It was very popular back in the 80's and 90's and still does the same job it was intended. It is ideal for tube amp type work but does not have the capability to measure the state of the art amps of today. The minimum useable distortion level measurable on the instrument is.01 percent. Which is fine for tube amp work, and actually for most common solid state amps. many boast sub.01% distortion but when it is tested they don't do it! The unit is in working condition and is close but not equal to its specifications. There are internal adjustments that are in the manual that might be able to be done to hone it in to the original specs of.0025% but I don't know if that is practical. But it does do.01% 0085% as is so it can be used with no more work if that is what you want. The ... moreunit is clean and comes with a set of connection leads that are typical in what you need to connect an amp. The manual is a copy bought off of the internet and I must say it is not as good as it should be. However, to give the guy credit, he watermarked some of the pages with his website so you can vow to never buy from him ever! But as bad as the manual is it still is quite useable. General Radio Company. Octave Band Noise Analyzer Model 1558-BP comes in it's own case and the microphone that comes with it has it's own separate case. The Cord for charging the battery IS included and functioning. It has it's battery which accepts a charge as shown on the meter in one of the pictures. It states on the unit to charge it for no more than 18 hours. I dont know how long the charge will last. It may need to have the battery updated if it doesnt hold a long term charge. I assume this unit is in working condition. However I do not have the proper equipment to test this unit further. This is former rental equipment as shown on the yellow tags on the outside of both cases that appears to have been well taken care of. The cosemetics are in nice condition. The charge cord is slightly freyed at the end that plugs into the ... moreunit but is functioning I do not have the proper equipment to test this unit further. Everything included is in the photographs with the exception of the charging cord which is also included. No paperwork. No manual or other patch cords are included with this item.
