Heathkit Model T-4 Signal Tracer very bright eye tube
This auction is for a very nice Heathkit Model T-4"visual and aural" RF and Audio signal tracer. The probe has a switch that connects a diode detector for checking RF. I can hear a number of broadcast stations when I touch my finger to the probe tip(you need a shunt RF choke or resistor like a 47K to block the AC hum for this test) This has a very high gain amplifier so that you trace a signal in a radio from the antenna all the way to the speaker. This is really useful for checking microphones even low-Z dynamics. This also has terminals for checking by substitution of the audio output transformer and speaker. Heathkit Signal Tracer IT-12 - Vintage - Tube Magic Eye Indicator
Appears to be in very good condition. Purchased as part of en estate sale lot from an electronics repair man. This test gear was sitting on his bench among other test gear that he used everyday in his work. I have no reason to believe that this unit does not work. I did power it up and the magic eye lit up. But since I don't know how to use this. I cannot test it and I cannot guarantee that it is working perfectly. May need calibration, cleaning, or fresh tubes. Being sold As-Is.
