Talking into the microphone made a signal on the screen. As you can see in the one photo. There is the remains of a property sticker on the side. The microphone has a July 1987 calibration date. Used Bruel& Kjaer 5935 dual-channel power supply and conditioning amplifier for microphone preamplifiers. Includes operators manual on CD. Used but in good shape. Some decal wear around the power switch and channel 1 attenuator. I inserted 3"D" batteries into the internal battery holder and the item powers up. With my limited test equipment I tested the item out. Both 10 dB step attenuators work and appear accurate. The unit is capable of the spec'ed output level with distortion at 1Khz of way less than 1% Overload lights appear operational. 24 Volt supply is available at the front connector pins. Rear outputs functional. The best I can tell the item is fine and works. But it is being sold as is. Up for auction is this: Tektronix PS5010 Programmable Digital Power Supply This is in nice condition. This has been cleaned. Inspected, and tested. It is in decent condition for being roughly 25-30 years old. It seems to NOT want to send the exact voltages that are punched in the keypad. So it probably needs a good calibration. I did run it for over a week straight after cleaning it so that everything had a chance to settle in and prove itself over time. Everything looks to be in good condition. And at this price. Well.it's a GREAT deal even if it needs a little work. It is NOT perfect. It IS a nice old piece of gear though and you need to look at the pictures and decide for yourself. The ONLY reason I listed this as"For parts or not working" is because I have had some people get a great piece of gear that may need a little ... morework. At a great price, and then try and take me to the cleaners for not knowing each and every single fault on this old gear. I do my best to inspect them as best I can, sometimes we humans miss things. Goldline SPL120 Hand-Held Sound Level Meter For Parts or Repair Power supply
A Gold Line model SPL 120 sound level meter. It comes with the power supply and some cables. It does turn on. But I do not have a microphone to test it. Numbers do appear on the screen, but I have no idea what they may mean. It was modified to have an extra output that went to a computer that would track the sound levels during a live performance. That output is a tip ring sleeve 1/4 inch phone jack. It was also modified to have a long cable between the unit and the microphone. The multi pin cable is included in the listing.
