Up for consideration is a very nice old vintage dress form mannequin. Fully adjustable cloth covered formed body with metal base. Unique design. I haven't seen one quite like this before. The last photo shows underneath and inside how it looks and the bolts that can be adjusted. Little tabs on the outside all over that can be pressed to adjust the size easily. Will easily adjust down and base will fold together for easy storage, or use for a display. Great condition with no tears or breaks. Some discoloration to the fabric as it was partially covered in areas so there is color variation. Looks like the top has a bolt missing which could be easily be replaced. Base shows some paint loss and signs of wear. A really great dressmakers adjustable form or display piece in nice condition, offered at a great price! Each extending rod is adjustable so expanding the form any direction is possible by just pulling the wire mesh sides away from each other. Each rod has individual slots to lock in certain lengths for different measurements of the form. The form as it originally measured 30" tall. 35" around the waist and 40" around the chest. Vintage Singer dress form Molded From Life series w/ adjustable wooden stand VGC
Up for auction is this vintage Singer dress form with accompanying wooden stand. Both in very good condition. The dress form is a Molded From Life edition, and the measurements are as follows: bust 36 inches; waist 27 inches; and hips 36 inches. The form has some flaking of the gold material used as overlay. There is also a shallow indentation in the area of the bust. Form stands 27 inches tall. The wooden stand is adjustable, height-wise. It is 46 inches tall, and the base is 14 inches square. The cage at the top where the dress form slips over has a loose support. Dress form dates from the late 1950's, to the best of my knowledge, and looks quite decent for its age of about 55 years. This is a vintage adjustable dress form for sewing. I don't know who made it. It has an iron base. And you can move the form on the base. Measures approx. 5' full size, when the form is at the top of the pole. Form measures approx. 32" tall. There are a couple of minor wear spots. I have shown all sides in the pictures. Listing is for a vintage adjustable dress form/ mannequin. Material on the form has some staining I imagine from glue. There are little pieces of paper with number on the adjustable knobs that are coming off from being so old. As I have said in other listings I am not allowed to touch glue so I will leave to the new owner to glue them back in place. The base has a mount for 3 screw in legs I only have two. I scoured the estate sale we were at for it but could not locate it. I am sure you could locate 3 other suitable legs or have one made for this. I am sad to see her go. But I need the room. I purchased this mannequin about 15 years ago. Because I thought I would sew. But I didn't. So. I wired her as a floor lamp, and used different hats for the lampshade. I would find these amazing vintage dresses at thrift shops and dress her in them. Sometimes she would startle my ex- he thought that there was a stranger in the house. Then again. He wasn't that bright. Her metal parts are no longer shiny. And the metal at the neck is a bit rusty. There is a knob that is missing that protrudes from the top of her neck. She used to have a stamp on her chest. Female Mannequin Dress Form Free Standing Full Size 36-25-36 Height 31'
Full size. Real size female dress form, female mannequin, free standing female dress form, used, in decent condition and has lots of life left in it, the top comes off as pictured. There is a hole in the cover on the back side of the neck, other than that it is in good condition. Some minor marks on the fabric as pictured. Chest circumference is 36 inches, waist circumference is approximately 25 inches, hips(measured at the bottom of the dress form) circumference is 36 inches. The height of the dress form is approximately 31 inches. It comes just as pictured. It does not have a stand/ base, but it can be either free standing or be put onto a standard stand/ base as it does have a hook up for attaching a stand/ base but you have to get a base separately if you don't already have one. This form is in good. Used condition. There are a few fibers and fine hairs on it, otherwise it is pretty clean. The approximate measurements on the form are; 30" top to bottom, waist 32"41" bottom circumference 40"49" bust 39"48" neck 14"18" The pedestal is height adjustable and has a hem measure/holder.
