It has gold decoration with the emblems of England. Scotland and Ireland woven into it. The lid has an oval applied with a picture of George VI, his wife Elizabeth and his daughters Elizabeth(current Queen) and Margaret. There are the letters GR underneath which means it dates from soon after his coronation in 1937. The tin is in good condition with just one large scratch to the front and a few other minor scratches. Through feel primarily the upper left hand corner feels like it has come into contact with water at some point but none of the pages stick together. Agreement between Michael Follmer 1723-1793? and his brother George Jacob Fullmer 1738-1804(Revolutionary War soldier. Pennsylvania house of representatives in 1794 and was elected to the Senate in 1803. The document was witnessed by William Scull and John Price. William Scull was a mapmaker and surveyor general of the Continental Army! Signature of Michael Follmer was cut away but is signed George Jacob Follmer on the back. There are two other signatures I have not identified. William Scull(1739-1784) was an American cartographer and officer during the Revolutionary War. Scull was the grandson of Nicholas Scull. Who was the colonial Surveyor General of Pennsylvania. In 1770, he published a map of Pennsylvania with Robert Sayer and John Bennett[ ... moredisambiguation needed] and engraved by Henry Dawkins and James Nevil in Philadelphia. It was republished in many editions in France and england. Although it is considered a compilation of the work of other cartographers. 1] He was commissioned an officer with the rank of Captain in the 11th Pennsylvania Regiment. It is a poster of all the commercial satellites produced by Hughes Aircraft Company from 1965 through the early'80s. Beginning with Intelsat I. A legend identifies the satellites. Greg Jarvis was selected as a payload specialist candidate in July 1984. Greg was originally assigned to be on flight 51-G but he and astronaut Charlie Walker were replaced by the first Arab in space and the first Frenchman on a U.S. flight. Launched June 17, 1985. Jarvis was then reassigned to flight 51-I but he was also bumped from that August 27, 1985 flight. He was then re-assigned to flight 51-L aboard the Challenger as the payload specialist. On January 28. 1986, Challenger exploded 73 seconds ... moreafter liftoff. Killing Jarvis and his six colleagues. There are very few official autographs from Greg because astronauts provided signed photos after completion of a mission. Incredible one of a kind vintage photo album from an estate of a German immigant filled with photos taken just before the official start of WW II in Germany. There are 37 double sided pages of vintage photos taken from all over the region. A few photos slots missing photos. Most are filled, fantastic collection. Some wear/tears on vellum page seperators as expected with vintage wear on album, photos on good condition. All are black and white and authentic photos withseveral vintage post card photos in there as well. Some show rural country scenes and family scenes, others show local scenery. Some pages have hand written inscriptions in German noting places and dates, all seem to be from the summer of 1938. Each page has a vellum page with a spider web design in it. These photos are fascinating to look at and capture moments in time that are ... moreone of a kind and part of history now. Some of the photos are very poineant and just really capture these people. One of my favs is the one of an older woman sitting by the water with a white swan at her feet in the water. Very special album. Vintage Cold War Era "Family Radiation Kit" Mid Century-Bendix Corp.
This is a Family Radiation Kit from the Cold War era made by the Bendix Corporation Cincinnati Division. It comes in the original box and comes with instruction booklets. The parts consist of ratemeter and dosimeter(the metal and glass tubular pieces) and a charger(the metal box) The pieces are in good condition and were probably never used. The card board box has fading and tape marks but remains intact.
