This is the industry standard Seal Jumbo 150 dry mount press. Its the standard for dry mounting artwork and photos. And for T shirt transfers. This one is an oldie but goodie. The platen is very clean; it shines like a mirror. See the picture with the reflected National Geographics. The green felt covered foam rubber pad is in good shape. In this simple machine. The thing that wears out is the thermostat and controls. The old primitive thermostat has been replaced by an electronic temperature control. That makes the temperature accurate and reliable. And avoids wide swings of temperature. I have been using it with dry mount tissue that requires 170 F. And when I measure it, it is right on. The"user interface" is the same as before. From a closed and demolished local school. Our schools have the blessing. Though they don't seem to realize, of constantly buying new equipment. The used stuff gets placed into storage undisturbed and unattended for years. This unit is a prime example. I think this unit is from the 1978-1980 era. SEAL JUMBO 160 as shown. Unit has some signs of use and needs some cleaning. I have no experience with this type of equipment, so I don't know if the pad is good and usable. I do know that it heats up. I have 2 videos showing warming up at YOUTUBE link and reaching maximum temp. at. Total heating time was +/ 6 minutes from turn on. Unit measures +/ 21"l x 17-3/8"w x 9-1/2"h.
