Bottles of dye sublimation ink. I know nothing about this. Except that it was used for printing on garments and such. The continuous ink system. I believe, is for an Epson 1100- but won't guarantee that it works. I'm including it because there is quite a bit of ink in it. I'm not guaranteeing anything in this auction. The bottles have ink. And some are almost full. That is all I can say. The bottles are mostly full. The"light cyan" in the back is almost full. I don't know anything about the manufacturer of the ink. Or it's quality. I am no longer in the printing business. And I am clearing out the space for a new tenant. These have been used in production, but still have a lot of life in them. How to make mugs with Cactus Wraps™ 1) Gather up your mugs. Cactus Wraps, heat tape, transfers, gloves, tightening device, and scissors. 2) Cut 2 pieces of heat tape. Approximately 1" long and apply to either end of your transfer, leaving 1/2" sticking out. For best results, the transfer should be sized so it covers the top of the mug to the bottom and handle to handle 3) Center the transfer on the mug and tape one edge down onto the mug. Use your thumb to apply pressure along the transfer to keep it snug to the mug. 4) Push the second piece of tape firmly onto the mug. 5) Center the mug in the Cactus Wrap. Slide the catch under the handle and fasten it over the receiving ... morebar. Tighten with a 7/6" nut driver or drill. We recommend the purchased at Home Depot for $39.97. We use a clutch setting of 3 or 4 which gives good even pressure without over tightening the wrap. Which is key to long wrap life and successful transfers. 6) Use the pressure as stated above with the Ryobi drill(clutch setting of 4 or 5) You can also hand tighten with nut driver. Once snug. Turn ½ to 1 full turn to give a little more pressure. You should see a slight bow in the center where the white material overlaps. 7)Pop the mug and wrap into a toaster(or larger) oven UPSIDE DOWN. Convection ovens work best and you can usually put 3-5 in at a time. We recommend the. Bake for approximately 15-18 minutes at 380- 400 F if using Cactus Ink Jet coated mugs. 350- 365 if using Versa coated mugs. 8) Put on your gloves and remove the mug. CAUTION THE MUG IS EXTREMELY HOT! Tight cotton gloves and looser leather gloves over the cotton offers even more protection. Loosen the Cactus Wrap and take it off the mug 9) NOTE: Keep your gloves clean because dirt can transfer into the mug coating while hot. The Practical Guide to Dye Sublimation Volume Two - Advanced Techniques
Volume Two: Advanced Techniques The objective of this volume is to present a few"tricks" and"corner cutting techniques" for easier sublimation. The tricks and techniques are sprinkled throughout what is basically a continuation of the demos from the first volume. We look at the basics for creating such things as a mug. Plate, clock, photo frame, tile, ornament, and hat. Most of these demos are kept simple without getting into much detail about all the steps required. There was virtually no mention of the color correction software being used. Rather several remarks of"just send it to the printer" One tip was offered for making ornaments: create a template slightly larger than the item and store it on your hard drive. Scan an outline of the ornament, and then"digitize" it, or turn it into vector art. ... moreUnfortunately there is no discussion of how to complete that last and all important step. Again, there are some helpful tips and techniques, but this is not a full blown seminar by any means. Several Unisub products are shown. As they were somewhat new to the market at the time this video was produced. Mr. Spence does state that these products have a degree of UV resistance, allowing them to go"months, perhaps even years without serious fading" It would have been nice to have a bit more explanation about fading for the newcomer to sublimation, but at least it gets a mention. A short discussion of printing black on gold metal is helpful. But no actual samples are shown for comparison. A fairly lengthy plate demo is full of hints for success. Mr. Spence uses a Geo Knight combo press. But offers all kinds of advice for achieving good results, even showing us some of his"blunders" and offering reasons as to why they didn't work out. Mugs are discussed and demonstrated as well. But I had problems with some statements made in this section. One was in regard to top to bottom printing- You can pretty well print from top edge to bottom edge without any problem"
