Heat press for hats and small logos
I have a used manual heat press that was made to transfer small logos to hats and other merchandise like shirts bags and so on. It was purchased from Press-a-Print around 2003 but I have not used since 2008 other than testing it for this auction. I may have transferred bout 1.000 or so logos with this heat press so it is in good shape. The heat press has an adjustable setting for the heat and a beeper style timer that goes off form 0 to 60 seconds. You will have to manually release the arm after the timer goes off to prevent scorching your product. I have an owners manual for the heat press that will help keep it functioning correctly. It has a spring loaded bracket to keep the hat tight when transferring the logo. You can also adjust the amount of pressure you want to put on the item you are printing. These wraps are used for applying designs printed on heat transfer paper to ceramic coffee mugs. They are designed to work on 6 to 8 oz standard coffee mugs. They will not work properly on a mug that is smaller at the bottom and wider at the top. I bought these wraps new and used them only a handful of times. This is an economy grade heat press. It is 600 watts, 110 AC. It has a 9x12 inch press area adjustable pressure and temperature and timer attached. It is a swing away model so the heat plate swings complete out of your way. We purchased it new and used it for the business for about two months before we outgrew it and got a larger press. Omnicolor Film for Omnicrom System or Experimentation Approx 200 sheets
Original owner. About 200 sheets; approximately 100 varied colors and 100 varied metallics; 8-1/2” x 11-3/4” This Omnicolor film is a heat+pressure'transfer' product which allowed one to get opaque colors or metallic effects on B&W laser prints or photocopies(i.e bonds to the laser toner; would not bond to inkjet print) This was a way to get color before color printers were widely available and affordable. The films were designed to work with an official Omnicrom heat transfer machine. and if you own or had one. You already know much more than I can describe here. I believe that if you were using the film with an official Omnicrom machine, you'd place your B&W laser print/copy in the carrier sheet with the backside of the film in contct with your original. This'sandwich' would then be placed in the Omnicrom machine ... morewhere the heat and presure would fuse the film effect onto the toner of the original. At that time(mid to late 1980's) my wife and I had a graphic design business. And there were several times when getting this solid opaque color or metallic effect was what we needed. But we didn't need it frequently enough to justify purchasing an Omnicrom machine. However, we did find that with a bit of persistence, we could achieve the same end result by using a hot tacking iron applied to some thin tracing paper over the film'sandwich' It wasn't an elegant solution, but it worked. This approach also allowed colorizing small sections, or applying different colors to different areas) I've recently discovered that the film color will also'transfer' to an adhesive(such as the sticky side of tape) without heat. Up for sale is a Heat Lamp Vacuum Applicator. Used in applying heat activated vinyl onto sign substrates. We used it for years applying reflective vinyl onto aluminum.080 signs. This thing never gave us any trouble! A true workhorse.It is a 4x8 model and comes complete with vacuum pump. Diaphragm, control module including timer. Essentially everything you see in the picture.It can potentially be used to mold acrylic faces but I can't guarantee the machine gets hot enough or that the diaphragm of the machine will vacuum enough to mold the acrylic faces.
