It has not been used for about 15-20 years though and I no longer have use for i t. Some dirt collected over the years of storage but I have managed to clean most of it off. The press was just tested and it worked the same as the last time I used it. The upper heating plate is clean(see picture) as is the lower pressure pad. Seal 210 M Commercial Dry Mounting Press 23" x 18.5" Tested Accurate. Good shape. A bit dusty. I tested the unit and with the dial set to 250 degrees. The thermometer indicates 250 and my digital meter measured it at ~245 degrees. The upper platen looks about like you would expect from a used mounting press. It can be cleaned. The lower platen has the the wooden insert only. If you were to use this for photographs you'd want to add a padded board. Your application may vary. Photos are of the actual item. This 26"x32" Seal Dry Mount Press(I think it's a Masterpiece 350 model. But the label is missing) includes(see pictures) the press, an EXTRA internal rubber mat, and a supply of dry mount tissue. I have used this press for upwards of 25 years and it works fine. At one time I added the additional bracing(brown in the photos) to even-out the pressure application. The switch that activates a visual timer(the left-hand, red, light blinks) when the lid is closed is broken, so the timer doesn't work. Using the press, I never missed the timer. The rubber mat in the press is slightly better than the extra one I am including(I kept it as a spare) I am including approximately 550 sheets of 8.5"x11" Seal MT5 dry mount tissue, approximately 125 sheets of 8"x10" Seal/Bienfang Colormout dry mount tissue, approximately ... more75 sheets of 11"x14" Seal/Bienfang Colormout dry mount tissue, and 71% of a 150'x20.5" roll(not in photos) of Seal/Bienfang Colormout dry mount tissue. Manual& Pressure Board This lot includes the following items: Commercial Seal 200 Dry Mount Press, Seal Masonite Pressure Board for use in mounting thin materials, Operating Manual- The cover is stained. But the instructions inside are perfectly readable, This is a used Seal Commerical 200 Dry Mounting Press. It can be used to mount photographs on mat boards. To attach decals to T-Shirts, to laminate items, for cloth backing, for making transparencies and probably other uses I am not familiar with. This unit has been cleaned and tested. The lights work as prescribed. The green light comes on and stays on until the desired temperature is reached. Then it cycles on and off as needed. The red light comes on when the press is locked. It flashes once per second during operation. Generally ... moreyou will need to follow the instructions that(hopefully) come with the material you are using and work at the recommended temperature and time range. It is a good idea to do a test project first since occasionally some adjustment of time or temperature is needed. I was able to successfully mount a test photo using dry mount tissue. The workspace on the press pad measures 22 1/2" L x 18" W. Condition: The press only has signs of light use. The seal press pad is in good condition. With very few heat marks. The temperature control works. I do not have equipment to test the accuracy of the thermostat. But I could tell it gets progressively hotter as higher temperatures are selected. The temperature selector knob appears to be intact, but it does not turn the selector. I do not know if it is repairable or not. The metal rod it is supposed to turn on the thermostat can easily be turned by hand. There is a mark on the rod to indicate where it should line up for the desired temperature selection. For instance, when the knob is set to 180 degrees, the gauge reads about 225 degrees. When the knob is set to 200 degrees, the gauge reads about 245 degrees.
