There is some surface rust on the black tin cover on top because this was in a basement work area and left with drips from a water pipe. It was hardly used and has a very clean closeto new surface heat area. If you want to save over $200 and get a great unit and can stand the surface rust spots then get this unit. Up for sale is a very nice used Hix Model 1620 Heat Transfer Swingaway Press with a copy of the original manual. It is used. But has been cleaned, checked out and is ready to be used. The Model 1620 Manual Transfer Machine is 120 volts 15 Amps, Swingaway 16” x 20” heat platen. I have installed a new line cord and plug on the heat press. All the other internal wiring is in excellent condition and there is no harding or cracking on the insulation of the wires. I ran this for about 1-1/2 hours bringing it up to 320 degrees. I set the thermostat at several different setting to insure that it would shut off and turn on as the platen heated or cooled and it worked perfectly. There is some wear on the platen surface and there are some chips to the rubber on the silicone rubber pad(see pictures) This item is for pickup only but I will make delivery ... morefree of charge for a 40 mile radius. Electric cord has tape on it near machine. Cord at one time was rubbing against something while being used so I put tape around it so it would wear through. This is a one owner heat press.
