Description_ Here is a Seal 150 Jumbo Commercial dry mount press in good working condition. It can be used for photo mounting and laminating. This press is very nice. Whoever had it took care of their equipment. The platen is and it has a temperature range from 150 degrees Fahrenheit(75 C) to 350 degrees Fahrenheit(175 C) The press gets hot when plugged in and the thermostat seems to be doing its job. The pad clean. Still very pliable and very much useable. The platen measures 15.5" x 18.5" and is extremely clean which is unusable for many of these units. Guaranteed to arrive in working condition. The extras include 15 sheets Kodak Dry mounting tissue 11X14, two sheets Chartex backing cloth 11X14, five sheets MT5 8X10 mounting tissue, some fogged fibre base enlarging paper, and a few matte boards. This press is rated 1200 watts, and has a thermostat to adjust platen temperature. The platen measures 15.5 X 18.5" Both the pad and the platen/heating element are in good condition. I used this outfit recently and got great results. I do have a paper cutter(not offered in this deal) but that is all the additional gear you might need for clean, reliable mounting of photos. This is the industry standard Seal Jumbo 150 dry mount press. Its the standard for dry mounting artwork and photos. And for T shirt transfers. This one is an oldie but goodie. The platen is very clean; it shines like a mirror. See the picture with the reflected National Geographics. The green felt covered foam rubber pad is in good shape. In this simple machine. The thing that wears out is the thermostat and controls. The old primitive thermostat has been replaced by an electronic temperature control. That makes the temperature accurate and reliable. And avoids wide swings of temperature. I have been using it with dry mount tissue that requires 170 F. And when I measure it, it is right on. The"user interface" is the same as before. Up for bid is this vintage dry mount laminating press. It is made by Seal Inc. The platen measures about 16" X 19" As the pictures show. There is some paint loss here and there as well as some surface rust on the handles. None of that hurts the functionality of this unit. The green material looks to be in very good condition. I plugged this in and it heats right up. I don't have a way of checking the actual temperature of it though. The green light does not come on. I didn't take it apart to see if the bulb is bad or not. The red light comes on and blinks when the top platen is closed. It seems to open and close smooth and gets real hot. I have never used anything like this before, so I can't say how well it actually works. However if it is supposed to get hot and clamp up, I will say it does that just fine.
