3D Laser Digitizer Scanner Sherline 4100 Lathe, Keyence LK-081 Displacement Head
This listing is for a 3D Laser Scanner/ Digitizer. Made from a Sherline 4100 Lathe, with a Keyence LK-081 Laser Displacement Head and two MCG Stepper Motors. As it's set up. It appears that the piece to be scanned is held in the lathe, as a workpiece would be. The stepper on Axis 1 rotates the piece, while the stepper on Axis 2 moves the lased displacement head along the length of the piece. Three of what look like Hall Effect switches are provided, presumably for Home and 2 x EOT. It is in good cosmetic condition. With minor scuffs or scratches. It came as surplus from a government facility, which is often a good sign, but we have no controller to test it. Because we can't test it, it is sold as-is, officially"for parts or not working" even though it may work fine, may be faulty but repairable or may be shot- we just don't ... moreknow. This is an independant 4 jaw chuck. I dont rember if its made by Taig or Sherline but it will fit either machine or any other 3/4-16 spindle threads. I dont remember ever using it. It has just sat in a drawer and started to get rusty on the jaws. It is only surface rust and works fine. Needs a good cleaning and oiling. Sherline 4-inch Rotary Table Model 3700
These rotary tables are very well made(in the USA) and a great value. This set is missing one T nut and one clamp. But both of these items can be bought very inexpensively from Sherline or one of the other outlets that sell Sherline parts. I may yet find them before the auction ends. A little bit of TLC with fine steel wool. Or even a green scouring pad, will remove the very light surface rust on the rotor. A new package of socket head cap screws is included. MAXNC 10 cnc milling machine taig sherline steppers nema automation mini mill
This auction is for the MAXNC 10 in the photos. All the aluminum looks great and it looks like it hasn't seen much use at all. The spindle motor comes on and runs great. It has the one collet installed with a end mill in it. All the wires are present on the steppers but no connectors are on them(one wire is shorter than others on one stepper but no problem to connect to it) I am not sure about the black control box. A fan starts running when I plugged in the control box. If I push the on button a green light comes on but goes off as soon as I let off of the on button. I don't have it hooked up to a computer with a LPT port so I don't have a way to test it out. I don't have any software. I planned to buy a cheap controller off of Ebay and mach 3 to run it. I have up for sale is 1 used Sherline 4400 cnc lathe. I purchased this new as Sherline 4400"C" CNC READY Lathe Package and added on the stepper motors which are Nema 23 Stepper Motors 287oz-in. Most of the tooling package it came with is still new in packages. I purchased the riser block for the spindle and tail stock. Also purchased for the lathe A2Z quick change tool post I never ran any parts on it just installed and it wasn't enough clearance for the parts I was making that why I have the riser blocks. I also have included is a special back stop for the ER40 spindle which is currently mounted on the mill. For the mill it is a Sherline 5000 CNC. I purchased used and there were 3 small drill blemishes on the table. Its not a problem. I purchased A2Z tooling plate. The plate has seen better days but still works great. I also ... morepurchased a ER40 spindle. It works on both the mill and lathe. There are Nema 23 Stepper Motors 166oz-in. There is an extra spindle since I purchased the ER40 collet spindle. It fits on BOTH the mill and lathe. No collets are included. I was picking them up as I needed them here on Ebay for $15.95 The controller is a enclosed aluminum box CNC Router 4 Axis 3.5A TB6560 Stepper Motor Driver Board Controller Mach3 runs it very well.
