Sherline’s rotary table is a precision piece of equipment that has been designed to work with their vertical milling machines; however, it can be used on any mill whenever the small 4-inch size would be an advantage. The table is 2" high and 4" 100mm) in diameter. The main components have been machined from solid bar stock steel. And the complete unit weighs seven pounds. The table has been engraved with a laser, giving sharp and precise lines every 5°, numbered every 15°. These lines are calibrated with the 72-tooth worm gear that is driven by the handwheel. The handwheel is divided into 50 parts, making each line on the handwheel 1/10°. This allows a circle to be divided into 3600 increments without interpolation. Seventy-two revolutions of the handwheel rotate the table one revolution. The table T-slots are identical to those used on the Sherline mill and lathe. With an optional riser block, parts up to 6” in diameter can be turned over the bed. The lathe has 8" of space between centers. The electronic speed control allows continuously variable speed control from 70 to 2800 RPM without belt changes. There is a second pulley position available that offers extra torque at low RPM if needed. I recently purchased this lathe together with a Sherline mill. I already have another Sherline lathe so I am selling this one. It comes with the basic accessories to let you get started machining. Sherline lathes have a good reputation for machining small parts. I have up for sale is 1 used Sherline 4400 cnc lathe. I purchased this new as Sherline 4400"C" CNC READY Lathe Package and added on the stepper motors which are Nema 23 Stepper Motors 287oz-in. Most of the tooling package it came with is still new in packages. I purchased the riser block for the spindle and tail stock. Also purchased for the lathe A2Z quick change tool post I never ran any parts on it just installed and it wasn't enough clearance for the parts I was making that why I have the riser blocks. I also have included is a special back stop for the ER40 spindle which is currently mounted on the mill. For the mill it is a Sherline 5000 CNC. Up for sale is a Sherlone Model 5000 Lathe and all the things shown. not being an expert lathe user I have done my best to describe the unit. Both motors are smooth operating. The smaller motor that moves block up and down track works most of the time but sometimes it will not move block. I think it needs adjustment there. The worm gear underneath is un broken and not bent. The worm gear motor works well and switch works fine. One of the electric cords has been repaired as shown in one of the pictures. Excellent Sherline 4400 lathe. Brand new Motor and Speed control
This Sherline lathe is in Great condition and works perfectly. The bed and headstock assembly are used but very clean and most other things are new. It has a brand new. Never used motor and Speed controller assembly including the mounting bracket and guards. Also brand new are all these things: Crosslide assembly, gib, Spindle pulley, motor shaft pully, drive belt, handwheels, lead screw, tool post, cutting tool, face plate, Jacobs Chuck and key, spare headstock spindle and pulley, spare lead screw assembly with handwheel and Gib, drive dog, and tailstock centers. It also comes with a second unique interchangeable motor with a low RPM gearbox and speed controller with forward and reverse switch. I don't know exactly how many RPM's are max with this setup but it is very low with high torque, and having forward and reverse is a nice ... morefeature too. This assembly works perfectly also. Includes the Sherline Assembly and Instruction Guide, Allen wrenches, a Sherline accessories catalog and the original box. There is no Tailstock with this lathe but everything in the photos is included. I believe the tailstock assembly and one collet closing lever are the only things missing from the original kit. Sherline CNC Lathe 4410C
This is a Sherline 4410C metric lathe and the contents of the'C' component package including threading tool. Compound slide, live center, steady rest, A2Z quick change tool post& holders, center drills, jacob chuck, and others. Also included are the vertical milling attachment, DRO and CNC controller. I purchased this lathe as a manual and installed the DRO but after some time I decided I wanted to try it as a CNC. I purchased and installed the Sherline CNC conversion kit and paired it with a Mach 3 compatible Hobby CNC Pro(4 axis) controller and Hobby CNC steppers. I ran the lathe minimally. I've made maybe 10 parts on it. Being that I converted it to CNC the DRO isn't useful for tracking the axis movement. I'm only using it for the RPM readout. You can see in the pictures. However, that the additional DRO axis sensors ... moreand dials are included. I seem to have lost the manual lead screws so if you wanted to convert it back to manual you'll need to source those. Handwheel from a Sherline 1000 Machine, Lathe, Mill, Handle, Knob
Up for your consideration is a Handwheel from a Sherline 1000 machine. The mounting hole is 1/4” and it has 0-50 on it for graduations. This is a used handwheel in very good condition. The main body of the handwheel is made of aluminum and the little bat handle is made out of brass. This handwheel may fit other Sherline stuff. But I do not have that knowledge, sorry.
