Levin Vintage Precision Micro Lathe with Tooling. Watchmaker Lathe Cross Slide
Selling my Levin watchmaker lathe with Levin tailstock. I do not know the model# but all pictured items and tooling is included in this auction. The cross slide is made by Wulf Jahn of Germany and is in nice condition. Lathe base is a little dusty from sitting. Lathe motor is made by C&E Marshall company and works good. Speed can be changed by moving the spring/belt on pulleys or also easily using the speed control knob mounted on top right side of plate. The motor has a forward or reverse switch on it to change spindle rotation. There are 66 8mm collets included. Collets are by Starrett. Peerless, Victor and Swartchild. One missing in box is inside the spindle, see pics. One is a cutoff saw blade holder and one is a 3 jaw chuck seen in the last couple of pictures. Boley Watchmaker Drill for precision work. Takes lathe collets, micro stop chuck
You are only bidding on the Boley drill press in the photo. This is in almost perfect condition. It was never used and is from the late 80's. The round piece of wood is not included, there is a metal table beneath it and the wood was made to protect it. The paint is original and the 110v motor and belts look new. No rust or tarnish- this was in a light oil and covered with plastic for years. Unfortunately this is the only picture I have of this, if I get more photos before the listing ends I will add them immediately. I also have a new old stock one I will be listing later, which is exactly like this one including the microstop, but that one has no chuck. This drill press comes with the chuck pictured. This is marked HR Made in U.S.A. and is a nice compound or tripple cross slide I think. With a micro adjuster on it too. Very good conditon with some tarnish on the brass, and nothing more- no mounting bolt to mount to the lathe or anything- just what you see in the picture. It looks nice and seems to be in great condition with little use, and the finish looks very nice and bright. I didn't realize this earlier, it has"edjar sonez" or something like that engraved on the bottom, I will include a better picture of that later. It's engraved on the bottom where it goes against the lathe, you can't see it when it's in use. I will only ship within the USA. And everything is sold as-is because of my limited experience and knowlege. I never used or set up this tool personally.
