Comes in non-original packaging. This analyzer is in Good cosmetic condition with only minor(normal) blemishes from use. The screen has some very very light scratches that do not interfere with the display(or even show unless you are looking for them) There are also a few small scuffs/scratches in the side panels. Notes: This analyzer powers on and aligns itself without any error messages. We ran it through the"Align All" sequence and it completed without any complaint. It gave a display of signals from 10kHz to 990MHz(the limit of our generator) as well as measuring its own Reference output. The VGA output did give video when tested with our own monitor(not included) The front panel controls all respond appropriately to user input. The Elapsed Time reading says 1 hour. And this is no way a new unit so we think the battery is dead. No other testing was done. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown. HP 8568B Agilent Spectrum Analyzer HP8568B 100Hz-1.5GHz Nice! Working/Tested
Here is a nice clean unit. And it appears to be ready to go. I have tested with signals of 20Mhz. 100Mhz, and 648Mhz and they are all right on frequency with flatness within 1.5db across the bands. I cannot test higher but I did look at the harmonics out of my signal generator and it will go all the way up to the high end of the frequency spectrum without any problems that I can detect. I don't do the tested with power on thingy. I give you a fair confidence check on every unit and an honest opinion. I cannot say this will work in every aspect of it's highly complicated capability. But I can say I would use it in my shop without hesitation. No cables. Display unit, power cable or loads come with this unit. It is the Spectrum Analyzer section HP8568B unit only. Including tracking generator, which is built in. The power supply has new capacitors of slightly larger value. Improving on the noise floor of the unit at line frequency-related harmonics. 0Hz feedthrough after warmup is about-58dB. There are many spectrum analyzers that have higher frequency extension. But this one has one capability that the others lack: 1Hz resolution bandwidth. Note the 20Hz screen shot-it can totally sepate the second harmonic of this function generator from its fundamental. Newer 3Hz BW SAs can barely see a weak second harmonic of 20Hz. So if your needs involve measuring woofer distortion at low frequencies, this is the analyzer best suited to task. We hooked a signal up to it and it was able to display the expected readout. When we turned the machine on it had a"warm up" warning in the upper right corner of the display. After about 30 minutes it did a self calibration and we were able to do anything with it that we wanted. This unit does not include a manual or a power cable.
