All controls are easy to adjust and are responsive. Unit produces a good quality image on the display screen. Includes convenient handles for easy portability and set up. Fan runs quietly and sounds healthy. The HP 3582A Spectrum Analyzer is one of the easiest older technology instruments to use since all of its controls are on separate knobs instead of menu-driven selections. This instrument has two identical input channels. A and B. Each channel has a slide switch to select between DC coupled and AC coupled. There is also a switch between the two inputs to allow the pair of be referenced to chassis ground or isolated. Available for sale is an HP 3582A spectrum analyzer. Serial number 1809A03306. The unit includes a bound photocopied version of the manual, along with a variety of supplemental information. This unit came from a local ham radio operator who is in the process of downsizing his massive collection. He said the unit"kinda" works. Mentioning it had issues when the Channel A and Channel B input selectors are in the"CAL" position.
