Here is a nice clean unit. And it appears to be ready to go. I have tested with signals of 20Mhz. 100Mhz, and 648Mhz and they are all right on frequency with flatness within 1.5db across the bands. I cannot test higher but I did look at the harmonics out of my signal generator and it will go all the way up to the high end of the frequency spectrum without any problems that I can detect. I don't do the tested with power on thingy. I give you a fair confidence check on every unit and an honest opinion. I cannot say this will work in every aspect of it's highly complicated capability. But I can say I would use it in my shop without hesitation. No cables. Display unit, power cable or loads come with this unit. It is the Spectrum Analyzer section HP8568B unit only. You are looking at arguably the best under $10K market value. Perfectly working, high end spectrum analyzer from ADVANTEST model R3271A. It is the Japanese answer to AGILENT HP 8563E with better phase noise specifications. You can see 50Hz noise sidebands 90dB down on a microwave signal; try doing this with another spectrum analyzer! Do not confuse it with the older R3271 analyzer. The R3271A is newer. Better built and has no known flaws. It is beyond me why people are still buying(for high prices) old and much less performing HP 859X series or awful old TEK analyzers when you have these advanced units becoming so affordable nowadays. This one can over-range from DC to 31.8GHz and is calibrated. It is also highly suitable for EMC testing. Having the built-in standard-6dB CISPR bandwidth filters(200Hz, 9KHz, 120KHz) Passes all self tests and ... moreworks well within factory specifications. It has so many advanced functions. It's impossible to list in this short description; to those unfamiliar with it, reading the operating manual here can be an eye opener. The firmware of the R3271A is user friendly. Not suffering from the yellowish plastic tint of other earlier Advantest units and is in pristine, as new shape. It has better performance and more functions than AGILENT 8563EC. You can see 50Hz noise sidebands 90dB down on a microwave signal; try doing this with most other spectrum analyzers! This model is specified to 26.5GHz and overranges all the way up to 31.8GHz. It is very well built and has no known flaws. Do not confuse it with the much less performing units widely sold here on eBay. This is a high end spectrum analyzer with top notch firmware and excellent RF performance. The IF resolution bandwidth goes from 1Hz to 10MHz with fast sweep times. You can see 50Hz noise sidebands 90dB down on a microwave signal; try doing this with another spectrum analyzer! The R3271 is very well built and has no known flaws. This unit can over-range from practically DC to over 30GHz and is calibrated to 31.8GHz. Has the factory installed high stability time base option and a 3.5mm input connector.
