This is an HP-141T spectrum analyzer. It includes the 8553B RF module and 8552B IF module. It was recently taken out of service in working condition. It powers up but I do not have the manuals or enough familiarity with the unit to fully test it. It is in good physical condition. I am experienced at packing large. These were from the late Jerry Johnson estate. He was an rf engineer and these were set up in his shop. I ran tests to the manuals specifications and was able to duplicate figures shown.

It comes with a unique hard shell shipping case as it was used overseas. Below are some specs from the Internet as I am not an expert. I hope you find this information useful. 141T DISPLAY The Model 141T is designed for use as a display section for the HP Model 141T/ 8550-series plug-in spectrum analyzer. The instrument has variable persistence(duration of trace afterglow) and storage of CRT displays. Persistence is variable from 0.2 second to more than 60 seconds. A display can be stored(at reduced intensity) for more than 2 hours or displayed ... morenormal intensity for up to 1 minute. Stored displays can be erased in 35o milliseconds. Variable persistence is especially useful for viewing slow-sweep signals. The persistence of the signals can be adjusted to provide a complete trace. Yet to fade fast enough to prevent interference with the next trace and can be adjusted to eliminate flicker and still provide high resolution. The storage feature of the instrument can be used to store single-shot waveforms and to later view or photograph the phenomena. Up for sale is a HP Spectrum Analyzer with 8554L RF Section. 8552a IF Section& 141T Display Section. This item has not been fully tested. For this reason it will be sold in parts/repair condition. We were able to power the unit on. It did not make any noise. There was a green dot that moved from left to right across the screen. When we played with some of the knobs, sometimes it would disappear, other times it would change the appearance of that green ... moredot. The black top for the'Scan Trigger' switch is missing. The unit as a whole has a lot of cosmetic wear. It is dirty and will require additional cleaning. There is a dent on the top towards the back. The handle on the left side of the front is bent inward. Two of the feet on the bottom are missing. The'Frequency Fine Tune' knob is chipped slightly. The vent at the back is dented inward. It appears that there is a piece missing at the back which may cover the fan. A power cord is NOT included. We only used a power cord to power the item on for pictures. Two complete Hewlett packard agilent 141T spectrum Analyzer sets
Two complete HP/Agilent 141T Spectrum Analyzer Systems: Each set comes with a 141T Display Section. 8554B RF Section, 8552B IF Section and 8556A LF Section. They are very clean and in good working condition and used sparingly since I got them a few years ago. These two sets are later models so they come with green/brown color cabinets. Earlier production models come with blue color cabinets. I intended to use them as not only RF but also audio frequency test system but I don't have not much time to play with them. So I decided to have these sets for someone else to play with. I know the history of these Spectrum Analyzers. We purchased them new in our lab in the 80's. We have used them for our routine work to measure spectral analysis on television engineering. They were never abused and instead every two years they were all calibrated ... moreby a HP service technician as a routine maintenance. As you can see in the photos. One of the 141T set comes with a heavy duty genuine HP dedicated cart, which is very nice to move analyzer around on the floor. Also I have kept the extension cables which are very rare to find and were very expensive to purchase from HP. These are extremely handy to repair any plugins if they need any repair services. So you can do repair these if needed yourself. I believe these extension cables alone are worth a lot. There are two extra Audio Spectrum testing plug-ins for your hi-fi testing such as harmonic distortion and any parasitic oscillation in the audio amps. I want to have these valuable test instruments serve a new owner for many years to come. These are very heavy so I prefer a local pick-up but I can do ship them if the buyer pays all shipping expenses. Even though they were in good working condition. For sale is for a nice working HP 141T analyzer w/ 8555A RF plugin and 8552B if section. Also included are the rack mount ears as shown in the photos. Except for a power cord and user manual on CD no other accessories are included with this sale. The overall condition of this analyzer is good showing only normal wear. The 141T CRT is the new style display and is crisp and bright with less than 60 hours of use since being replaced. Noteworthy is the 8555A RF section. The critical drive pointer belt looks pristine and should provide a long service life. This 8555A also has option 002 which protects the mixer and attenuator from accidental overload. Please note: This option does affect the upper frequency response at frequencies above 12.6 GHZ. If this analyzer is to be used above 12.6ghz the limiter would need to be removed.
