The screen has some very very light scratches that do not interfere with the display(or even show unless you are looking for them) There are also a few small scuffs/scratches in the side panels. Notes: This analyzer powers on and aligns itself without any error messages. We ran it through the"Align All" sequence and it completed without any complaint. It gave a display of signals from 10kHz to 990MHz(the limit of our generator) as well as measuring its own Reference output. The VGA output did give video when tested with our own monitor(not included) The front panel controls all respond appropriately to user input. The Elapsed Time reading says 1 hour. And this is no way a new unit so we think the battery is dead. No other testing was done. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown. The analyzer is in excellent operating and physical condition with a few scratches and dings from normal use. The options installed is as follows: 226- Phase noise personality. 1AX- RS-232 serial port and parallel port. BAA- FM Demodulation. About 2 years ago the messages LO Unlock and LO Unlevel appeared on the screen. I've researched those enough to know that a component needs to be replaced. And the estimates can vary from $35 to $500 depending on the specification of the part. There are whole forums and parts suppliers for these old HP devices, so getting those parts should not be a problem. I'm just not*that* confident with a soldering iron and I'd rather this go to someone that is more familiar with their repair. Refurbished units with this same specification run around $19k. Hello and Welcome! U p for auction today is an Agilent ESA-E Spectrum Analyzer model E4402B. The unit does NOT power on. I tried a couple different cables but since this was found in a garage. And I am not the previous owner I do not know what is wrong with it. This could be a simple fix, this could be a for parts only unit.
