The entire frequency range may be covered in a single sweep, which is very useful in finding spurious signals. This unit has the optional DEMOD board, which allows listening to FM signals via the internal speaker. Recovered audio may also be monitored via a jack on the front panel. The PSA-65A is designed for portable or bench use. The unit may be powered either via the AC line. By an internal rechargeable battery pack, or through an external 12 VDC jack on the rear panel. Please Note: The internal battery in this PSA-65A will not hold a charge anymore. I have used this analyzer on the bench for 10 years and have never needed the internal battery. Nice piece of equipment! You can make power measurements with it as well as generate an RF carrier signal a custom power level at any frequency 10-1000 GHz. This is nice because then you can do simple tests without an expensive separate RF generator. In the photo you can see I have set it to generate an RF carrier at the input to a directional coupler(not included) and I am measuring the spectrum at the other port at the same time.
