If you see one on ebay for less make sure they tell you the year model. it makes all the difference. the later model has the most recent firmware and motherboards so you dont deal with any glitches. Plus the cpu is twice as fast as the first few year models. First I realigned the loda amplitude and dual mixer alignment on the a14 board. Then realigned the yig/yto and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum, then performed the ytf realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration and realignment according to the service manual. this unit performs like new in regards to amplitude, attenuator, and frequency accuracy. my cal is much better than any cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(fla

I have both 8562a and 8563e for sale as well but I recommend this unit to most people who dont need super high sensitivity or super high bw resolution but still need something with real high performance and on a budget. this out performs the 8562a in every way and is about 5 years newer model. its 1000$ more but very well worth it Im sure you will agree. this model was made at the same time the 8563e was produced!thats 6 years after the 8562a was introduced) and the E series is around 9500 to 10,000$!
