2 Different Vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5000 C Reel Lot 5000C Baitcaster
Hello you are bidding on a lot of two different Abu Ambassaduer baitcasting reels. Both the reel work fine but both are missing end cap for the middle of the handle and one may not have the correct screw(the small handled reel) The small handle reel. The handle wobbles and is not on tight so it may not be the correct screw. Both reels are used and have wear on them, both are made in Sweden and I they are also accompanied with a small box with some parts, I am not sure if they go to the reels but I am including it. I know the wrench fits the nut on one of the reels. Please ask any questions you may have, shipping is 10.00. Thanks

This is a great example of a 1978 Abu Ambassadeur 5000C(before Garcia) There is some wear to the right side plate. But overall it is very nice and everything works just as it should. Turns smoothly, casts well, and drag functions properly. This reel was well taken care of. Also included are the following: Original case. Somewhat worn, but still serves its purpose Original bottle of oil and bottle filled with spare parts Original 1978 Receipt(It cost $40 in 1978. HELLO. YOU ARE BIDDING ON AN EXCELLENT OPEN BOX Vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5000 C In The Case with All Documentation. Extra Parts, Reel Lube, Original Box& Factory Packaging. THIS ITEM IS IN EXCELLENT NEAR PERFECT CONDITION IN THE ORIGINAL BOX& PACKAGING. COSMETICALLY THIS REEL IS IN EXCELLENT“NEAR PERFECT” CONDITION. THE ONLY FLAWS I COULD FIND ON THIS ENTIRE REEL WERE SOME WHITE SPOTS ON THE TOP OF THE BLACK SIDES. YOU CAN SEE THEM IN THE TOP DOWN PHOTO OF THE REEL IN THE GALLERY. THE ONLY OTHER FLAW WERE SOME TINY HAIRLINE SCRATCHES THAT ONLY APPEAR WHEN THERE IS A BRIGHT LIGHT REFLECTING OFF THE SIDE PLATE AT THE CORRECT ANGLE. THE OUTSIDE OF BOTH SIDE AJUSTEMENT CONTROLS AND THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE BASE HAVE A KNURLED FINISH. I HAVE SEEN HAVE THIS KNURLING ON THE OUTSIDE OF THESE CONTROLS ON VERY FEW REELS. MOST HAVE A SMOOTH ... moreBRIGHT FINISH. I TESTED THIS REEL AND IT IS IN PERFECT WORKING CONDITION. YOU CAN EITHER FISH IT OR DISPLAY IT UPON IT’S ARRIVAL. Abu Garcia Ambassadeur bait casting reel-Vantage VXL 5000C-Sweden-Vintage
This reel has been used but is display worthy. In my opinion. There is a small amount of paint loss but it is minimal. There is no"boat rash" Mechanically, it is excellent. It is equipped with an aluminum spool and has a wide thumb rest. It has stainless steel ball bearings and an instant anti-reverse. The drag is smooth, as is the level winding mechanism, which rides on a nickel plated guide rod. There is an anti backlash adjustment, which helps to prevent the"birds nesting" that wastes so much fishing time. This is made in Sweden. There is some loss of info on the band that lists the amount of line the reel holds in each line size. This info is available on line, but I will list it here. It holds 205 yds. of 12 lb. test, 180 yds. of 14 lb. test, and 130 yds. of 17 lb. test. The serial number is 100011/14. This is the ... morereel in the pictures and the one the buyer will receive. This reel works excellent but could probably use a good cleaning. It has only been used for freshwater fishing. I think it is a 1974 model. This is a vintage Ambassadeur 5000C. It has the counterbalance handle on it. But I am including the power grip handle and hardware also. So this auction includes the reel, spare handle, leather case and its contents(oil, parts, tool) and paperwork. This is a beautiful and fully functional set that looks amazing. There is some minor fading wear on the outside plate but no chips or rash and the chrome is bright and clear. Thank you for looking and please check out my other reels as well.
