Cool vintage Abu Garcia reel. Has part of the original box that says july 11 1978. I assume that it is from around then. The serial number on the bottom of the reel is 760903. The reel seems to be working fine. The drag works as it should. The handle is not on completely straight as it should be. I assume that is an easy fix but I am not sure. Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500C up for auction. I took it in for a tear down. Inspection, clean and lube before listing and it is in perfect working order. I am not sure what the gear ratio is as all it says on the reel is"HIGH SPEED" Why buy new when this is almost as good? Everything works as should or your money back. Cosmetic wise. It has some surface scratches and some paint missing but nothing to take away from how this reel is going to preform for you. Great for Salmon.
