Completely serviced and clean. This reel has seen one season of light but regular freshwater use. It was spooled with fluorocarbon on a jig/ texas rig rod. It is in excellent mechanical and very nice cosmetic condition. There are a handful of light marks on the sideplates and some fine scratches near the Curado insignia- but it still looks great! Up for auction is this used Shimano Curado baitcasting reel. It's a left-hand retrieve model No. CU-201. With a 6 to 1 retrieve ratio, and 5 bearings. It has never been used in saltwater and has been well maintained. This is one of 6 I have fished with for years- I obviously love the Curado model- high quality without costing you an arm and a leg. Regardless, I'm cutting down on my tackle and this one is now ready for a new home. It is practicall blemish free and everything works as it should. With that said, I can feel a very slight'roughness' when I crank the reel. I'm not sure if it is in the gears, bearings, or whatever- and it is just a very slight sensation that I feel is slightly different than my other reels. The Shimano Curado 200 B was and still is a all time favorite freshwater baitcaster. Shimano's best. The Citica was one level more affordable at the time. This reel has been upgraded to 5 bearings like its big brother the Curado. This includes bearings on the crank shaft. Spool shaft, right side plate, left side plate, and anti-reverse one-way bearing.
