Does have line but appears unfished. Beautiful condition. Box is unfaded and square with light scuffing and a little yellowing, mostly to labels on sides, side pictured has most. 4 small letters in light pencil on one side. A couple light yellow spots. Up for auction today is a Ambassadeur 1000 and Ultra mag plus for parts. The ultra mag reel work fine but the levelwind does not move. The Ambassadeur 1000 works fine except the drag does not function properly. Both reels in good condition for their age with only small amounts of rim rash. Up for auction. Vintage Abu Garcia Ultra Mag XL Plus reel in excellent working condition with Fast Cast and Magnetic brake. All parts are fully functioning as they should be. Reel is on original Abu Garcia graphite rod. Printed on rod is Royal Vectran Vectran 7 reinforced IM-7 graphite RVC561M 5'6" medium action rod 0-30g 1/4-3/4oz lures 8-20lb line. Great vintage Abu Garcia set that will last through many more years of enjoyment. I know that some of the Abu Garcia reels are covered under a lifetime warranty and or they will offer you a very nice discount on a newer reel if the reel breaks. I am not sure if this reel qualifies under the lifetime warranty because I would have to remove it from the rod to see the serial number but it very well could be one that does qualify. Vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 4600 plus. With fst cast, mag brake, narrow spool
This is a used Abu 4600 plus. It is in good used condition. It has the old school spool brake behind the handle PLUS the 10-level magnetic brake as seen in the pictures on the topside of the reel and it also has a nice flipping switch that works fine also. There is wear cosmetically as the black has faded and some wear the spool from use as shown in the pictures but all mechanics seem to operate fine. The decals are good and the reel works well. It has some normal range of wear but good looking& working shape still. Handle. Crank, and star have some wear and all are solid good shape. Seat. Posts and rings some wear but they are in very good shape. Spool some wear and in very good shape and sits and spins well. Headplate and tailplate also have wear normal scuffs scratches etc but good solid shape. In all reel has cosmetic wear but a solid still good solid working reel. The Super-Sized and Zoom-Able pictures are of the reel which show it for your close inspection. This Abu Garcia Ambassadeur ULTRA MAG PLUS is in Good Working Shape and ready to fish. Cranks good and has a solid anti-reverse. The frees pool ... moremode works well with manual backlash controls and MAG brakes. The levelwind disengages well and works all smooth and even and also has well working drag with line run click and a well working clutch which dis-engages immediately on first crank.
