This fishing rod is a six-foot jerkbait rod. Owned and fished with extensively by tv angler Matt Hayes. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity confirming that it was Matt's rod. Says Matt: This rod is quite special. In the first place, i have caught plenty of twenty pound plus pike on it. Secondly, it is one of the original first batch of TFG rods designed by myself and Simeon Bond. All of the early TFG rods were designed and hand-picked by myself and Simeon and they were by far the best, in my opinion. this rod is a jerkbait rod, still with its original bag. I have not cleaned it- it bears the mud and battle scars gained over several years of fishing with it form Sweden to lake Windermere. The bag and the certificate are signed by Matt to confirm its authenticity.

Here for auction we have a vintage Fishing Rod for you this a Abu Svangsta Suecia 330.Length 6.5ft zoom 01-7g if that helps anyone,condition wise is pretty good the Reel Holder works ok but slides up and down the cork when pushed so i presume it is supposed to?all the rings are in good condition with no rust and fully attached the cork base is in good condition a few small bits of cork missing near the butt end but to be expected with a used item,one strange bit to mention the bottom half is a lot shorter than the top half i do not know if this normal or not for this rod,the top bit measures 49.5 inches total length and the bottom bit measures 31.8 inches total length? Beautiful Richard Walker MkIV MK4 Avon Split Cane Fishing Rod by B James and Son The rod measures 121 3/4 inches(309.5cm) when assembled. The butt section measures 62 1/4 inches(158cm) and the tip section 61 inches(155cm) The tip and butt guides are lined in a reddish amber material while the 6 intermediate guides are hard chrome. All the guides are in perfect condition. No corrosion or cracks in the liners. The rod will come complete with its original bag which is in all honesty in quite poor condition with a few holes in it. I have very little experience of cane rods as you have probably guessed! So apologies if the description is a little vague. I bought ... moreit about a year ago and have never used it. Just looked at it! the condition looks excellent, and the cane appears to be in very good condition. It's a lovely rod and one I'm not keen to sell by I really need to sell some of my vast collection of fishing stuff that never gets used, I'm running out of space!
