I recently purchased this Bass Pro Shops Extreme ETX1000LPHA Bait Casting Reel from the Original Owner. I don’t fish with Bait Casting equipment myself but this reel was part of a large lot of rods and reels that I bought in order to get some spinning equipment that I wanted for my own use. I also purchased an ABU Ambassador 5500C that is being offered on a separate transaction so please check out my other auctions if you think you might be interested in that one also. This Bass Pro Shops reel is in Extremely Nice Condition with only very minimal signs of use. It operates as smooth as silk and in fact I have never felt an action that was quite as smooth as this one. I would rate the overall condition ... moreas at least a 9 out of a possible 10. PLEASE TAKE NOTE The owner told me that prior to offering it for sale he had washed it off using some little White Lightning degreaser. I believe that the internal grease has broken down because there was some oozing grease around where the spool meets the reel housing. That grease has splattered around a bit so you may want to internally apply some fresh grease. The spots you see in some of the close up images are those grease spots. Along with my detailed description I have provided close-up images to allow you to decide for yourself how you want to judge the actual condition and how much you are willing to bid. NOTE: The Reel is in really good condition on the outside however it does not work the best. It does not always fully disengage when the button is pushed and usually pushing it again will work to disengage it. I have not used this reel myself. Here is a really nice baitcasting reel. It appears to be operating correctly. These Daiwa 33 series reels were the bomb in their day. This one is the 5.1:1 gear ratio which according to my reading was recommended for spinner baits. You decide what works good for you. It has some boat rash and graphic fading. It has 2 graphite bearings and tournament performance clutch. This reel also has the autocast system and is made in Japan. It also has the casting/ flipping switch.
