Up for auction is an Abu Garcia Silver Max low profile baitcasting reel. The reel has a right-hand retrieve. Has a 6.2:1 gear ratio, adjustable lure drop speed, and uses 6 bearings for smooth casting and retrieve. It has a dial-set magnetic backlash control. As well as an optional flipping switch. My teenage son and I are avid bass fishermen. I bought the reel for my son back in 2011 for $89 as part of a combo package deal. While the reel has seen use. It’s in great shape—it has never been stored outdoors, and was cleaned, oiled, and re-spooled regularly during its three seasons of use(see photos) It has proven to be a great reel for my son. But this season, he’s asked me to buy him a reel with a slightly higher gear ratio to accommodate his style of fishing. It’s my hope that this Abu Garcia reel can go to a good home.
