This is a used Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5600C4 baitcasting reel. The C4 means that it has four bearings. The reel is in fantastic condition as you can see from the pictures. There are just a very few small nicks. I have tested the reel on the bench and everything appears to funtion correctly. It cranks smooth. The spool spins freely, and the drag feels strong. This model ABU Garcia 5000c black color baitcasting reel was made in Sweden and is in remarkable condition. I doubt that it was used more than a couple of times. The serial number is a very low number and it reads 037200 which is a very low by today's standards. There are no condition issues and the reel does work well. The original partial box must have been stored in the garage along with the leather bag. The tool kit, and oil bottle because all of the stitching is bad on the leather case and the box shows slight signs of being in a damp environment. The original Owners Manual is in great condition! The reel must have been kept inside the home, and is estate fresh from here in NW Ohio. One of the nicest 5000c reels I have ever owned. This auction is for ABU Ambassadeur 5000 Level Wind Baitcasting reel MADE IN SWEDEN. This reel is in excellent condition. This reel apparently predates any involvment of Garcia. As their name does not appear anywhere on the reel. This reel is in great shape and works great. And is very smooth. The only real sign of use or wear is some chrome loss on one of the side caps. I have been repairing and rebuilding/restoring fishing reels for over 35 years and this is a smooth reel and an excellent buy. I try very hard to price the shipping costs at what my costs are keeping in mind that Paypal charges me 4% and Ebay charges 10% and nobody likes to lose money so I am as fair as I can be. A nice clean Ambassadeur 5000 C baitcasting reel It has the power crank handle. Push button line release and star wheel drag set. It has been cleaned, oiled, new line and placed on a rod and some casts made and everything seems to be working very good. The finish was touched up a bit on the top rim and looks pretty nice with minor marks and rash all the chrome is still in nice condition. The foot number is 730301.
