Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000 C 7000C Levelwind Fishing Reel Black 8602-1 Sweden. We are offering a Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000C levelwind baitcasting fishing reel made in Sweden in 1986. The reel has been completely torn down cleaned and lubed. Checked out and re-assembled and is ready to fish. Even though we cleaned the reel the picture you see with the main gear is the way it was when we opened it. The reel has never seen saltwater this is one of the cleanest reels this size we have opened that is used that was this clean. No corrosion, no rust, it looks new inside of the reel. The bearings were a little dry but are super smooth, the drags are smooth and the clicker and bait alarm work perfect. The outside shows wear so please look at the close-up pictures for the cosmetic condition of the reel. Remember the newer 7000I reels have bushings ... morenot bearings which all right when they are new but as time goes on the bushing start wearing because they are brass and then your spool starts having a fine wobble or even rubs on the frame and can cause damage to your reel. The reel is super clean inside and out and has been upgraded with 2 Abec 7 bearings and runs super smooth. What a diffence the 2 bearing on the spool shafts make. The reel is now a 7000C by all counts. We have also included the original sleeves taken out. The Abec 7 bearings are shielded bearings which make them much more water resistant and we have added one drop of oil to each bearing. The cosmetics of the reel are great but please look at the close-up pictures for the cosmetic condition. The reel is a high speed 7000 and will hold 270yds. of 20lb. test or 230 yds. of 30lb. test monofilament line. Purchased this reel from hatteras jack in rodanthe. Nc last summer. It's was some rod/reel combo deal. I couldn't cast with this thing and went back to a penn spinning setup. Anyway, had this out on the beach for a few days, the guy at hatteras jack said it was"lightly used" before me. The spool spins, drag is adjustable and the drag lever functions as it is designed. Shows slight wear and grease marks on pics. If you like these reels, then maybe it will work for you. Comes with the braided line that hatteras jack put on for me in pick.

I do not use a baitcaster reel so I took this reel to a local Pro Tackle Shop in Hatteras. NC. Much to my surprise the owner and one of his patrons both flipped over it! He told me that it is a very collectable reel that was made in Sweden and is considered to be superior to the current Chinese offering. He told me the best part is that it is the SYNCRO model. Which is even more desirable. He said the syncro model was a bit finicky, but this one operated perfectly. He also said it had level wind and the drag worked properly.
