Cosmetically the reel is in excellent condition with vivid graphics on silver annodized side covers with plated and natural aluminum accents. The only cosmetic concern is some very fine scratches on the left side cover that can only be seen if the angle to the light is correct. Despite this. Drag washers replaced with carbon fiber matrix drag washers. Making them much more durable than the original ones. There are few parts on this reel that came originally from the factory together. The side plates are in Very good operational condition, but they do have a few blemishes, especially on the palm side. But the IAR one-way roller bearing is in excellent condition. The main photo shows that I do have the tools to replace them, but the removal/installation tool and the extra handle side plate are just for demonstration purposes and are not included with this reel. I will include a parts diagram and make notations on which parts were replaced with either new ones, or like new ones. The frame isn't original so the foot number is meaningless for this particular reel, but it did come off a reel that was either lightly used or well ... moretaken care of. There's no corrosion on the chrome plated parts of the frame, and only 1 small blemish on top of the right side edge where the thumb rest makes contact. Several of the release mechanism parts have been replaced with new ones, and the break plate is in excellent condition. If you purchase this reel at the asking price I will string the reel, if you wish, with a polymer coated braided line that is rated at 80lbs; 17lb test diameter of equivalent mono, but much heavier than mono that makes casting much easier with less chance of backlash. I install a layer of friction tape(actually cloth medical tape) on the spool for the braided line to grip onto without any slippage. As I stated earlier. This reel's drive gears have been replaced with an unmatched set. They will need to be broken in by use, that's why they are made of brass. It would be the same way if I had purchased a new main gear and pinion gear. The factory does the matching by pre-running the gears together at a high rate of speed by using a machine to turn them.
