2 Different Vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5000 C Reel Lot 5000C Baitcaster
Hello you are bidding on a lot of two different Abu Ambassaduer baitcasting reels. Both the reel work fine but both are missing end cap for the middle of the handle and one may not have the correct screw(the small handled reel) The small handle reel. The handle wobbles and is not on tight so it may not be the correct screw. Both reels are used and have wear on them, both are made in Sweden and I they are also accompanied with a small box with some parts, I am not sure if they go to the reels but I am including it. This is a custom made"light" weight frame in designed for classic Ambassadeur 5000C. 5500, and 5500C models engineered by Simon Shimomura, known as Mr. Ambassadeur. This light weight frame were made from aluminum innerplates beautiuly buffed and carefully plated in chrome. Weight comparison: Simon's light weight frame: 65g(2 1/4oz) vs. Regular brass frame: 97g(3 3/8oz) Usually light weight frames of this kind come with anodized aluminum innerplate that appear dull looking. This custom frame is so shinny as you can see. ABU factory has provided a special honorable ID in its foot number. As you can imagine SS stands for Simon Shimomura. I have 5 sets for sale for now. Each foot number is unique and different. This particular number is just an example and you do not necessary get the exact same number as posted.

Cosmetically the reel presents very well with great markings on black anodized side covers. The palted components are excellent with zero evidence of corrosion and only a few mnor abrasions. This is a great example of a 1978 Abu Ambassadeur 5000C(before Garcia) This is an incredibly well made, all metal, smooth baitcaster reel. There is some wear to the right side plate. But overall it is very nice and everything works just as it should. Turns smoothly, casts well, and drag and drag clicker function properly. This reel was well taken care of. Also included are the following: Original case. Somewhat worn, but still serves its purpose Original bottle of oil and bottle filled with spare parts Original 1978 Receipt(It cost $40 in 1978. HELLO. YOU ARE BIDDING ON AN EXCELLENT OPEN BOX Vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5000 C In The Case with All Documentation. Extra Parts, Reel Lube, Original Box& Factory Packaging. THIS ITEM IS IN EXCELLENT NEAR PERFECT CONDITION IN THE ORIGINAL BOX& PACKAGING. COSMETICALLY THIS REEL IS IN EXCELLENT“NEAR PERFECT” CONDITION. THE ONLY FLAWS I COULD FIND ON THIS ENTIRE REEL WERE SOME WHITE SPOTS ON THE TOP OF THE BLACK SIDES. YOU CAN SEE THEM IN THE TOP DOWN PHOTO OF THE REEL IN THE GALLERY. THE ONLY OTHER FLAW WERE SOME TINY HAIRLINE SCRATCHES THAT ONLY APPEAR WHEN THERE IS A BRIGHT LIGHT REFLECTING OFF THE SIDE PLATE AT THE CORRECT ANGLE. THE OUTSIDE OF BOTH SIDE AJUSTEMENT CONTROLS AND THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE BASE HAVE A KNURLED FINISH. I HAVE SEEN HAVE THIS KNURLING ON THE OUTSIDE OF THESE CONTROLS ON VERY FEW REELS. MOST HAVE A SMOOTH ... moreBRIGHT FINISH. I TESTED THIS REEL AND IT IS IN PERFECT WORKING CONDITION. YOU CAN EITHER FISH IT OR DISPLAY IT UPON IT’S ARRIVAL. THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW THAT HAVE THE KNURLING ON THE SIDES AND EDGES OF THE CENTER BOLTS ON EACH SIDE AND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTING PLATE.
