This handsome rod and reel were made in the late 40's by Kaufman Mfg. Manitowoc Wis. see stamp in photo) It is an Indiana style reel that includes the handle w/thumb brake and rod. The reel is made from copper bearing metal from which 8"Y"s were bent to hold the line. There are a couple of nicks on the curved portion of 2 of the Y's that do not detract from its interest.
