Up for auction is a vintage Hurd Super Caster rod/reel combo. The reel has a serial# of 77925. It is in good working condition. Everything is smooth as it should be. The rod/reel measures 5" from the tip of the rod to the end of the handle. The checkered wood handle has no cracks or splits. This is a very nice. Reliable reel and rod. I have used this reel for several years without any issues. The reel has a smooth action with all the gadgets you need for fresh water fishing. The reel is an off gold color. The rod is a Berkley Scout 5'6" 2pc. It is very manageable and has great play. Being 2 piece and short it is easy to bring along. The rod is rated to 1/8" to 3/8" lures and 4-10 pound line. This combo is experienced so don't expect it to be shinny new, there are some scratches on the reel but they do not interfere with operation.see the pictures, they are what it is! Good luck,
