And their signature fiberglass clear tip for extra strength right were you need it. The rod combo also has a very smooth running Shakespeare open reel with a 5.2:1 gear ratio also with a bering system and a balanced rotor. Originally I bought this rod combo brand new from Bass Pro Shops for $40.00. It was only after and brought it home did I realize it was not big enough for the use it was intended for. I only took it out once or twice so far and both times it worked flawlessly. I also bought a high Quality 20 pound Stealth Glow-vis Spider Wire braided line on the new reel which costed me $14.99.
