All labels are intact. The two-piece fit and finish is correct. SPINNING REEL: Cosmetically and mechanically excellent. The rear drag is a bit touchy in that it goes from too little. To too much in just a couple clicks but functions well for 6 or 8 lb line and is smooth. The bail is crisp, locks open properly and returns solidly. The Bail and Handle folding systems function properly. The anti-reverse system functions properly. It is a very smooth-working reel and no immediate cleaning or lubrication is required. If not for a couple tiny mars on the spool and the not-quite-perfect drag, this reel would be very near mint. SPINCASTING REEL: Cosmetically good and mechanically excellent. The small dent and the marks/scratches in the cone are visible in the pictures. However, the dent has no affect on performance. The star drag functions properly. The retrieve is smooth. This auction is for a matched pair of US-made Penn level wind reels. A Penn 309 and a Penn 209. They have been professionally cleaned, lubed with Cal’s Grease and Corrosion-X, and have new HT-100 drag washers. They perform as they should: Their stainless steel spools spin true, their gears and bearings are quiet, their clickers are loud, and their drags are smooth. They have no rust or corrosion and no cracks or chips on the side plates. Frankly, they look like new reels. If you know fishing at all you know these reels: Supremely reliable, they are standard choices for light trolling, bottom fishing and pier fishing- pretty much anything that can be handled with 30# line.
