I purchased this SEM on eBay in July 2008. But never commissioned it due to lack of time. At that time, I was told it came from a working environment and operation was guaranteed. I will send all parts that I originally received, but cannot guarantee operation since I never attempted to commission it- accordingly, I have started at a low bid, and listed it as"for parts. The following items are included(see photos) 1. Field-emission SEM column and vibration-isolation platform(main unit” The column is mounted on a very heavy(3600lb) vibration-isolation platform. The operating manual indicates an ion pump and turbo vacuum pump on the column. The column has a load-lock chamber for 150mm semiconductor wafers and a joystick-controllable stage. Industrial casters are included which allow the column-platform to be wheeled for transport. Cosmetic ... moremetal shrouds are included for appearance. 2. SEM display unit with two CRTs– the display unit is mounted on a frame with casters for transport. 3. Description Nikon wafer inspection microscope with a Nikon NWL-641 wafer loader. The microscope has a wafer loader stage as seen along with dual heads with 10x eyepieces and Nikon BD Plan 10.20,40 and 100 objectives. Condition Both the microscope and the loader have issues! The microscope has a lot of scratches and scuffs as seen in the pictures. The light source on the top works but it is glued on one side as seen in the pictures. It features a motorized turret but the switch for the objectives on the bottom does not work. You can still rotate them manually by hand. The objectives and eyepieces both have some scratches as seen but they produce a decent image. The NWL-641 loader powers up but none of the front panel buttons respond. Veeco can penetrate thin insulating surface layers by applying a short 170v pulse to the probe tips when the penetrate function is selected. Then.
