Scuba Penetration Safety Reel Aluminum/Stainless Steel
This listing is for a hardened wreck penetration reel for use in scuba diving where the diver penetrates into the wreck or surveys areas away from the wreck in deeper waters and limited visibility. It was designed and built by a materials engineer for North Atlantic diving and is made from high strength and extremely corrosion resistant materials. All hardware(locknuts. Washers, threaded rod) is 316 stainless steel. The spool is made from black Delrin(a polyacetal) which is virtually indestructible. The handle is made from T6 hard 6061 aluminum with a clear hardcoat anodize making it extremely corrosion resistant. The reel has a SS thumbscrew to throttle the spool which is threaded through a SS bushing to eliminate galvanic corrosion which would freeze the thumbscrew. The line works perfectly and easily. Classic 7' Bamboo Fly Rod by Charles Grove, Maker 2/2 With Bag And Aluminum Tube
I have not been able to find out anything about Charles Grove. The maker. This 7 foot, 2 piece, 2 tip rod is beautifully designed and executed. The cork cigar grip tapers to a cork reel seat with two sliding rings. The cork has no chips or gouges. Both tip sections are 3/4" longer than the butt section, looks like the rod may have been built that way. All sections are essentially straight. The ferrules are"popping" tight. The female ferrule on the butt has a soldered ring welt. The stripper guide has an artificial agate liner. The snake guides are pristine, with transparent wraps. The rod is designed to cast a 4 weight line. I have not put a line on it but in flexing it feels like a good dry fly rod. This rod is in excellent condition. It comes with a cloth bag in a good quality aluminum tube.

This is a great vintage Umco model 204-A Al uminum tackle box with three expanding internal trays. It is built like a tank. Yet light weight. FLY ROD - 9 FOOT WITH ALUMINUM TRAVEL CASE
This auction is for a 9 foot fly rod and aluminum travel case. The rod was my father's and as far as I can remenber it was seldom used. The rod is approximately 65 years old and it appears to be in very good condition however the butt end does show some wear. Also one eyelet in the middle section needs to have the thread rewound. The rod is hexagnoal in shape and there are 3- 3 foot sections with an extra tip section. I have had the rod since my father died in 1961 but never used it as I wasn't interested in fly fishing. I have decided to sell it to someone who may be able to put this rod to good use. The travel case measures 39" in length and will be used th ship the rod. This is a really awesome Vintage piece! Not sure when dated? A Stool. Tackle Box and Creel/Ice Chest all in one! Believed to be from the Netherlands? The only additional markings are as follows: Leuven-Wilsele-Putkapel It appears to have a vinyl seat which shows its age. Below that is a 4 wooden tray tackle box and below that is the aluminum creel and/or ice chest. It appears to be in good shape, all the front and rear hardware are in tact and are functional, seems to be missing a strap and the chain on the side is broken also appears to have a drain plug missing. TWO OLD 1930 True Temper Rods Aluminum & Nickel PATENTED W/case tubes handles

And two True Temper handles. The rods have Patent Number#1755159 and Patent# 80990. Which date them to April 15. 1930. 1st rod is Nickel/Chrome Plated Steel and is quite shiny. This Rod also has one guide eye repair— where the loop that holds the eye to its abutment, where it attaches to the rod. Right next to the wire wrapping) has been soldered- see photo. This repair will not hold up to hard usage. I assume one would not use these collectible rods actually fishing. They display well. Especially the aluminum next to the nickel/chrome steel one. 2nd rod is an Aluminum rod. It has ... moreno noticeable flaws that I could see. The cases are canvas and are in reasonable good condition showing some age and staining. The zippers work in both of them. There are inner metal tubes that the rods slide into which are canvas lined. They show some wear and some rusting. One has a cork end plug and the other one doesn't. The steel rod goes into a steel tube that has a seam. The aluminum rod goes into an Aluminum tube that is seamless. The handles are True Temper"SPEEDLOCK" The corks have been slightly cleaned and waxed— so they display well. One handle has a crack in the plastic end(where you would insert the rod) I have included a photo of that. These are an estate sale find and the handles were not in the cases but most likely belong to the rods. Came from the same estate) The casting rods' Patent claims the Rods were made using a billet of Aluminum(or Steel) and drawing it through some rollers. The rods are 4-sided(Square in cross-section) with the edges slightly chamfered. Measures = 55 inches from case end to end. So the rods are ~52 inches. 3 5/8" Diameter sideplates- Reel is smooth operating with a good screw nob drag. Bakelite center piece in spool and bakelite handle nob. A lot of wear on black finish on aluminum frame and spool. THERE IS A SCREW MISSING IN REEL FOOT AND THE OTHER NEEDS TO BE TIGHTENED. AL SO MISSING A SCREW IN ONE OF THE PILLARS. Bottom of reel foot marked JAPAN. Has clean fly line on spool but no backing. A good fishible reel if you have a screws. Reel would look fine if you took off all the black finish and left the natural aluminum. FREE SHIPPING IN USA ONLY.
