Let me say right up front ... morethat although the analyzer powers on as you can see it does not finish booting up. The screen shown is as far as it gets in the process. And that screen flashes on for maybe 5 seconds and then goes off for a couple, repeating that cycle endlessly. It is NOT responsive to the controls. There is a floppy disk in the drive. Just a disk, not a Stanford Research disk. So if it is supposed to boot up from the disk maybe it’s just the disk. But I don’t hear the drive ever make the familiar boot up noise. So if I(as a totally unqualified observer) had to speculate I would say it is more of an issue than just needing a new boot disk. Maybe just a new drive? So anyway. Maybe an easy fix, maybe the thing needs to be totally refurbished. It is sold for PARTS/REPAIR/REFURBISHING only. It is untested other than as described and NO warranty is offered. However. And that screen flashes on for maybe 5 seconds and then goes off for a couple, repeating that cycle endlessly. It is NOT responsive to the controls. There is a floppy disk in the drive. Just a disk, not a Stanford Research disk. So if it is supposed to boot up from the disk maybe it’s just the disk. But I don’t hear the drive ever make the familiar boot up noise. So if I(as a totally unqualified observer) had to speculate I would say it is more of an issue than just needing a new boot disk. Maybe just a new drive? So anyway. Maybe an easy fix, maybe the thing needs to be totally refurbished. It is sold for PARTS/REPAIR/REFURBISHING only. It is untested other than as described and NO warranty is offered. However. Time for some company spring cleaning of equipment that we have duplicates of. This is Stanford Research Systems Dynamic Signal(Spectrum) Analyzer Model SR 760. It is about 10 years old and has the optional carry handle and side stand kits installed. This analyzer has a dynamic range from DC to 100 kHz and is a single channel unit(as are all SR760's) Data storage can be in either proprietary SRS format(for later reloading of waveforms) or in ASCII CSV format(for loading into Excel. this is an sr785. opened up and made sure it was complete. it powers up but no display because the crt is cracked and broken. Last calibration: 2006 I have 2 of these. and another sr780 so if you need parts to try to fix this one. I have them for sale. I also have another unit sr780 that many of you know is the same as the sr785 with only a few differences and most of the parts are interchangeable. I can sell that one for only 2500$. that ones crt works. this is a stanford research systems sr770 fft spectrum analyzer with 14 day warranty and brand new Nist Traceable Calibration with cert and sticker. I also have 4 sr760 units as well and am working on having a second functional sr770 soon. passes all startup tests every time. and tested perfect when I ran my srs function generator into it which is also for sale(ds340) the generator in pics was fed into it at exactly 1 volt pp and it reads dead on for amplitude and frequency. the other test pics show the source out fed into the input and set to 500 mv at various frequencies and waveform options that the source out has. the source out is completely programmable. its basically a complex waveform function generator built inside!The internal source out is also reading dead on from 30 hz to 99 khz, there is no amplitude fluctuation or frequency ... moredeviation from the source or the spec analyzer it self! flatness is dead on. its already in perfect precise calibration and guaranteed to pass it if your company demanded a recal after purchasing like some companies do. The performance is all verified however and does not need to be verified again. I am a reliable spec an source. just read my feedback. there is no instability or spikes of noise floor either. no skirting or anything like that. no spurious flurries either. this is for a 100 kHz FFT analyzer by srs. The sr760, or sr770 for an additional 700$( it has a programmable source)otherwise identical. this has been fully tested. This sale is for a Stanford Research Systems SR780 2 Channel Network Signal Analyzer(Tested) Item powers up. It’s in good physical condition. And it HAS been tested by a technician for functionality. The"Source Out" BNC connector in the front of the unit has been replaced with a newer one and it functions fine(but it looks different than the rest of them) There is a little rip in the plastic that surrounds the fold-in handle(see picture) and there a 2 very small, and light dents(about the size of a dime or smaller) on the top of the unit. The analyzer also comes with a power cord(not pictured) and a 14-day warranty. There are stickers placed on some of the screw heads, and if tampered with, it will void the warranty. Equalness on both channels part A and B, as well as noise floor and sensitivity, as well as all functions of the source out and making sure basic functions like auto scale and auto input are working perfectly.All internal diagnostics Pass as well including ram and rom. I believe I have an 8 mb ram upgrade for this too if interested. I can throw it in for free and you can install it. If you only need one channel,I can sell another one I have for only 2000$, the plastic that covers the crt is cracked but otherwise a good unit(other than channel I has a flatness issue where the amplitude goes up and down til it gets to 10 khz, then its flat, may be fixable in calibration? anyway that is why im selling that one for only 2000$. I also have a smashed face unit sr785 that doesnt power up for only 1300$ as well. I do know the crt on it works tho because I ran it thru the other one and it does work perfect. the case is in good shape, its just the front easy to break plastic panel that got damaged in transit. and probably a bad power supply.
