Scratches and a little surface rust. There is a small dent on the bottom-rear of mixer. There are a few missing screws. See photos below for more information on physical condition. There is a limit switch inside of the mixer that needs to be replaced. Once a order is placed. Give us an extra few days to get the switch replaced. When we went to pick this chopper/cutter/mixer up we had the oppurtunity to speak with the head chef and he said this hcm chopper/cutter/mixer was only used 20 times and was used for a back up to another hcm that they had. Then it was put in a air conditioned warehouse and that is where it has spent all of its life. This unit is in excellent condition! YOU CAN NOT GET A NICER MACHINE UNLESS YOU BUY BRAND NEW FROM HOBART. The head chef and class instructor also mentioned they thought the school payed approx. $12.000.00- $13,000.00 for this hcm chopper/cutter/mixer. When we picked this chopper up we noticed some scratches in the tank and the instructor told us a student left a 1/4 ounce measuring spoon inside the tank and turned the chopper on. So that is how the scratches got there and also the metal s-blades had some nicks on the blades on them so the school ordered 2 brand blades and had them installed. This is an interesting one! I am told that this is a Hobart S601. There is no identifying plate that I can find to verify that. I am also told that this was used in a school and was working a few months ago but since I have not tried it out I am selling it as non-working. It appears by the wiring to be phase 1. As you can see by the photos this is easily 50+ years old and still has the original paint and Hobart Tag. This would look great restored in the front window of a bakery/candy shop. The bowl lift works(could use a little lube) and the chrome shroud above the mixer spindle has been dented(see picture#8) Please ask any questions. This machine is Absoultely a Number 10 on a scale of 1-10 for used equipment. This Hobart HCM Chopper/Cutter/Mixer came from a cooking school located in Florida. When we went this pick this chopper/cutter/mixer up we the oppurtunity to speak with the head chef and he said this hcm chopper/cutter/mixer was used no more then 20 times and was used to chop lettuce. Then it was put in a air conditioned warehouse and that is where is has spent all of its life. This unit is in excellent condition! YOU CAN NOT GET A NICER MACHINE UNLESS YOU BUY BRAND NEW FROM HOBART. The head chef and class instructor also mentioned they thought the school payed approx. $12.000.00- $13,000.00 for this hcm chopper/cutter/mixer. This HCM was only used to chop lettuce for the school. This hcm HAS NEVER SEEN PIZZA DOUGH IN IT'S LIFE AND IT WAS NEVER USED COMMERCIALLY. This school was closed due to lack of state funds. After the school was closed this hcm was stored in an air conditioned warehouse untill we purchased it. Up for sale is a Hobart D-330 Stainless Steel Hook Brand new and a used Hobart D-340 Stainless Steel bowl. We got these from a local cooking school. Located here in Florida. When we went to pick them up one of the school maintence man told us that the bowl was used but the hook was never used as it was bought as a backup to their other hook that they used and they never had to replace it. They bought it with the intentions of a lifetime hook that would never need to be replaced but never had to use it. When we got these home we decided to call our local Hobart dealer and asked them about these and they told us that the stainless steel hook can be used with either the Hobart D-330 or D-340 and the bowl will only work with the Hobart D-340 mixer. Also. We asked him the price for this hook brand new and he believed the cost is between $700-$800 ... morefor just the hook, and the bowl costs between $800.00- $1200.00 new, they were very busy when I called so he could not give me an exact price.
