I need to explain a couple things before we get too far along. First: This has nothing to do with a Hobart mixer. I just put Hobart in the title to capture people looking for their larger mixers! Second: I listed this as"for parts or not working" because I do not know if it works and I am unable to test it because I do not have access to 3 phase power. You may just need to put a new plug on it and it may work just fine or the motor may be blown. I just do not know. I purchased it at a liquidation auction of a restaurant supply business that went under. It was sitting in the back and not on the showroom floor. I do not know if it was in for repair or was a trade in on a new mixer or what. They are over $21.000 new here on eBay, Amazon and ckitchen with a $34,000 new retail price(they won’t let me include a link to it but just look ... moreit up) These are not the cheap Chinese Hobart knockoffs but made in the USA with parts from Denmark. It is a monster and is about 6 1/2' tall. It weighs about 1.300 lbs. Even if it does need $1,000 in repairs it would still be a steal at a fraction of the cost of a new one or even a used Hobart 140qt. It is in really good shape visually except the wear on the face plate above the"on" indicator light. Sorry there is no bowl or attachments. Third: I listed it as local pickup only because it would be $800-$1300 to have it freight shipped. It is still strapped to my trailer(sorry that is also why I was unable to get any good pictures at a distance) and I would consider delivering it within a 150mi radius of Orange County. I received this mixer and was told it was not working. I removed the motor and took it to electric motor repair shop for testing to apply proper voltage. The motor tested good- smooth and quiet. However there was no load(as in when mixing heavy dough) so I cannot guarantee that it works properly. All the parts are there except for the stainless steel top. All planetary gears and transmissions turn smoothly. I really can't say why this was not working. But is sold as is. Please contact me for any questions. Pickup is preferred. For shipping. I will completely disassemble and ship terminal to terminal(additional shipping fee) or you make the arrangements with your provider. We have a high quality European-made 10 liter(about 11 quart) variable speed mixer. It is a Bear Varimixer AR10. It looks like it hasn't been used much at all. It comes with the dough hook. The whisk and the flat beater for the planetary shaft and a meat grinder and feeder for the secondary shaft coming off the front of the machine. It also comes with a stainless steel bowl. It has two levers, one to raise and lower the bowl and one to increase and decrease the speed. Since it is infinitely variable, you can run it at any speed you want between 110 and 420 rpm.
