HOBART L800 80 QUART MIXER WITH REBUILT MOTOR 1 YEAR WARRANTY This is for the sale of a Hobart L800- 80 quart planetary mixer. It was owned by a major pizza chain here in Nova Scotia. And they converted it to 220 volt 1 phase from 220 volt 3 phase. This involved the use of a capacitor, and the capacitor failed causing the motor in turn to overheat and burn out. The motor is being rewound by a very good shop here and will be finished this week. The motor will come with a 1 year warranty. You will have the choice of having it delivered set up for 3 phase or set up for 1 phase(with a shutoff in case the capacitor burns out again) You can have everything set up so that your electrician can wire it either way(in case you are planning to move and possibly need to change it later) It comes with a dough hook, an 80 quart VML 80 Hobart bowl and a ... morebowl guard. I started to paint it but the local Hobart dealer only had 1 can of paint so you will need to finish the painting. One more can should do. The gears look very good and everything is in good working order. The electrical shop will test the motor with me witnessing, after they reassemble it. Included in the price is shipping to USA/Canada(excluding Hawaii and Alaska) to a facility with a dock. We can deliver it anywhere but there may be extra charges if you don't have dock height/forklift, maybe an extra $100-$200.

This mixer came out of a General Mills Research and Development Department. Just look at the pictures with the hood off! The meat/cheese grinder may need to be painted because bare metal is exposed. Older models were built to last. The mixer out-lived the pizza place that closed. This is impressive in looks and performance. No out of continental United States shipping. You can pick this mixer up for free in a suburb west of Chicago. In other words, it has the same model number as Hobart's 140 quart mixer, but it uses an 80 quart bowl and attachments. The key is that"DD" in the model number. It stands for Dunkin' Donuts. It is my understanding that the DD models are made up of the traditional V1401 body and its exclusive 5 hp motor, but setup with an 80 quart bowl and hook, instead of a 140 qt. bowl and hook. So, essentially, this mixer is a Hobart M802(their 80 quart mixer) with a 5 horsepower motor. Our V1401DD comes with a stainless steel 80 quart bowl and an 80 quart dough hook attachment. The batches this unit can ... morehandle might be smaller. But, because of that monster motor, it can take on the heaviest doughs with aplomb not seen in most, if not all, other 80 quart mixers on the market. Besides the smaller bowl and attachment size, the rest of this mixer is pure V1401. This means you get the aforementioned Hobart-designed 5 hp motor, a 4-speed geared transmission, and a power bowl lift. This V1401DD runs on 200V, 3 phase electricity. We've just left the wires coming out of the electrical box. You have the option of wiring it up direct to a box or putting on a cord and plug that works in your location. Lastly. To answer an often asked question, yes, you can turn this mixer into a true V1401 140 quart unit. However, it's not a cheap conversion. In addition to having to have a 140 quart bowl and attachment, you need to order the following parts from Hobart to modify the mixer to accept the 140 quart bowl and attachment: bowl alignment pins- retainer- bowl clamps- agitator shaft Those are the main parts off the top of my head.
