It is older but still in great condition for its age. It has only had 1 owner its whole life and they have never had any problems with it. It has been tested and is fully functional. It will come with the 2 attachments and 5qt bowl you see in the photos. This nice Hobart has only had 1 owner and was purchased new by her many years ago. She used it in her little cookie shop. She has taken pretty good care of it and has never had any problems with it. It does show some signs of use. But don't let that fool you, there is nothing wrong with it and it works great. All 3 speeds work as they should with no problems. I know some of these you can change the speed while its running, but this one you can not. You have to pick the speed you want before turning it on. The lever to raise the bowl works nice and smooth also. I don't know what the maintance is on these mixers. What that it involves, but since I don't know the maintance history on this machine I would recommend getting it checked or lubed even though it works just fine. Hobart N50 Commercial Restaurant Mixer with bowl, wire whip, beater Made In USA
Vintage Hobart N-50 commercial mixer in good working condition. All three speeds work as they should and run smoothly. The only noticeable flaws are a missing carriage thumb screw. A screw missing on the bottom, and the dent which is pictured. After running the mixer for about 5-10 minutes on each speed I ran my finger along the motor housing and noticed a small amount of oil had collected on the bottom(see last photo) It was a very small amount of oil(not dripping) and could be just old oil that was heated up but apparently leaks are common with these older mixers. The 5 quart bowl is pretty scratched up and has a small dent at the bottom. I noticed some rust spots on the wire whip and it needs to be cleaned. The beater is in excellent condition.This was purchased at a thrift store so I do not know the history of this machine or how long ... moreit has been stored. I would probably have it serviced before putting it back in heavy use. I have no experience with these mixers but have tried to describe it to the best of my knowledge. This N-50 Hobart mixer is in good condition. It comes with three attachments: a wisk. A paddle, and a dough hook. I have used it for years in my own kitchen. It has some cosmetic issues. Worn off paint, rust marks one small dent on body, etc. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PHOTOS. SO YOU CAN BE AN INFORMED BUYER! It runs smoothly. Works well. I never had any problems with it. It is just too heavy for me to keep moving around my kitchen. As I don't have one place to keep it. I don't know how load the motor should be. But I have always found it comparable to a normal stand mixer. Very powerful, though. Also very heavy.
